The challenges of this lab scenario, listed below, all relate to the configuration shown this figure. Figure 1. 1. Connect the routers as shown in Fig. 1. Routers Alpha and Bravo run OSPF. Routers Alpha and Charlie run RIP. 2. Using the address block 134.114.0.0, create three stub networks on Bravo with 27-bit masks, and one stub network with a 24-bit mask. Create two stub networks on Charlie with a 24-bit mask. Number the serial links between the routers from the remaining address space, using a 24-bit mask. 3. Mutually redistribute routes between the domains. OSPF routes should be given a metric of 6 in the RIP domain. RIP routes should be given a metric of 500 in the OSPF domain. Verify that all routers can reach all networks. 4. Modify your configuration so that Alpha only accepts only one of the stub networks from Charlie. Discussion To do well on the CCIE lab exam, you must be able to spot potential problems you will encounter as you create your design. While you are given some explicit instructions on how to configure your routers, there will be some steps that will not be explicitly stated. You will have to spot these issues quickly. For example, what issues will you have with the scenario as stated? To help you discover the issues, we have provided some incomplete router configurations and sample outputs. These configurations are not complete - they do not take into account all the issues that you will have to deal with in this scenario. If you are having trouble spotting the issues, here are some hints. When you have completed the scenario, the "show" commands from the routers should look similar to these examples.
