UNIT 10: NATURE IN DANGER D- WRITING I OBJECTIVE By the ends of the lesson, students will be able to: Knowledge: - Know more some information of the Cat Ba national park - Vocabulary: learn pronunciation and understand the new words: tropical, coastal, landscape, resource,… Skills: – Ss can write a paragraph to describe a national park based on given information Attitude and competencies: - Attitude: Be aware of the Cat Ba national park and feel interested in writing about the Cat Ba national park II PREPARATION - Teacher: Handouts, textbook, extra-board - Student: Textbook, notebook, A0 sizes poster III ANTICIPATED PROPBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS - Ss may have difficulty with writing descriptive essays, so T ready to help them IV PROCEDURE TEACHER AND STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES I Warm up (8’) II Prepare Ss to write (10’) -T puts Ss in groups of 3-4 and gets them to brainstorm what they would like to include in their description of a national park - T elicits the answers from different groups and writes the idea on the black board - T elicits useful structures and vocabulary and also writes them on the blackboard - T gets Ss to read the table of information on p.120 - T reminds Ss of the format of a BOARD DISPLAY Where?
