rep from * around – 30 sc Stuff some more Rnd 43: *sc tog, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 20 sc Rnd 44: *sc tog, until closed finishing stuff before fully closing End off ARMS With Red yarn: Rnd 1: Magic circle Rnd 2: sc in each sc – 16 sc Rnds – 7: sc in each sc **Note: in rnds through 10 you will be shaping a little curve in the arm, and not changing the total number of stitches in the arm** Rnd 8: (sc tog) twice, sc in next sc, sc in each of next sc, sc in remaining sc – 16 sc Rnd 9: sc tog, sc in next sc, sc in next sc, sc in each remaining sc – 16 sc Rnd 10: sc tog, sc in next 12 sc, sc last sc tog – 16 sc Rnd 11: sc in next 12 sc, sc last sc tog – 14 sc Rnd 12: sc in next 11 sc, sc last sc tog – 12 sc Change to White Baby Clouds bulky yarn Do rounds of sc around the arm, end off Fold up the last row of white for cuff See photo below Stuff the arm slightly and sew to snowman at neckline and tilting slightly forward as shown in photo Photo also shows collar which we will next 5 HANDS With Green yarn: Rnd 1: Magic Circle Rnd 2: sc in each sc – 10 sc Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 15 sc Rnds - 5: sc in each sc Rnd 6: *sc tog, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 10 sc Rnd 7: sc in each sc, end off Lightly stuff hands and stick them inside ends of arms as shown in finished photo You can either sew them in or put a little glue inside arm and then push them in 6 COLLAR With Red yarn: Chain 32 Row 1: sc in each ch, ch turn Row 2: dc in same sc as turning chain (ch will count as one dc), *dc in next sc, dc in next sc; rep from * around – 35 dc End off Without turning piece, attach Red Heart Super Saver white yarn to the right side of piece at the beginning rather than the end of the dc row In other words you will be going back along the dc row in the same direction that you did for the dc row Ch 1, dc, sc all in first sc, *skip next sc, sc, dc, sc in next sc, ch 1: repeat from * all the way across, not ch at end End off, leaving tail to attach collar to itself at the neckline See my photos below 7 TRIM AROUND BOTTOM OF “JACKET” With White Clouds yarn: Make a chain long enough to go around the waist where the red and green meet Sc in each ch, end off Sew or glue this piece around the body, meeting in the center front Make another single chain long enough to go from the center of the trim up to the center of the collar Glue or sew this in place Sew or glue decorative button to collar at neckline FACE: Glue eyes at about halfway down head and about ½” apart Using embroidery floss, back stitch mouth on face as shown in my photo 8 NOSE: With Orange yarn: Rnd 1: Magic Circle Rnd 2: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, repreat from * around – sc Rnd 3: sc in each sc, end off Sew to front of face as shown Put a little powder blush on ends of mouth as shown, if desired HAT With Green yarn: Rnd 1: Magic Circle Rnd 2: sc in each sc – 12 sc Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 30 sc Stuff some more Rnd 45: *sc tog, sc in next sc; rep from * around – 20 sc Rnd 46: sc tog, until closed – finish stuffing before closing ARMS Same as for Mrs Winters, but in Green yarn Stuff the arm slightly and sew to snowman at neckline and tilting slightly forward as shown in photos HANDS With Red yarn: Same as for Mrs Winters TRIM ALONG BOTTOM OF “JACKET” With White Red Heart Super Saver yarn: Make a chain long enough to go around body where red and green meet Hdc in each ch, end off Attach to body as you did for Mrs Winters Make a single chain with the same yarn long enough to go from jacket trim up to center of neckline Sew or glue in place 12 FACE and NOSE Same as for Mrs Winters SCARF Using Super Saver Red, Green and White yarn: Starting with White yarn, chain Sc in each ch, ch 1, turn Sc in each sc, ch 1, turn, pick up Red yarn, and just leave the white yarn attached You will grab it again when you switch back to white and you will the same for the red and green These strands will be on the wrong side of the scarf and not visible when it is on the snowman With the Red yarn: Sc in each sc, ch for rows Do the same with Green yarn Repeat rows of each color until your scarf is long enough to tie around his neck End off **Tip: using steam iron, lightly steam the scarf This will soften it and make it easier to drape around his neck** Tie scarf around his neck HAT With Red yarn: Rnd 1: Magic Circle Rnd 2: sc in next sc, sc, sc in next sc, sc – sc Rnd 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc;
