Yoko: Oh yes, very much. I like Vietnamese people and I love old cities in Viet Nam. St1: Do you live in the old city, too? Yoko: No, I don’t. I live right in Tokyo, a busy big capital city. St1: I see. -Ask SS to make similar dialogues -Can give the dialogue not in order and have SS put it in order before practice speaking. II. Listen -Ask Ss to look at the picture on page of 9 - Introducing the new lesson : “Carlos is Tim’s pen pal.He comes from Mexico, a country to the south of the USA.You will hear their conversation about what to do and where to go.” -Having Ss look at the pictures in the textbook and answer the questions : -What do the 2 signs tell us? -What are the differences between the 2 buses? Guess where Carlos would rather to eat. (= want) - Listen to the conversation and check () the numbers of the correct pictures. -Listen to the teacher -Listen and arrange the dialogue -Give the answer keys on the board -Two pairs play role before the class -Practice speaking in free pairs -Practice speaking in pairs before the class -Listen to the teacher and read the information -Make new similar dialogue * The similar dialogue: 1 st1: Hello, Are you Maryam’s friend?
