EMULSION PAINTING METHOD STATEMENT 1. Sequence of work : Surface Preparation : + Surface condition : Cleaning the surface by abrasive paper or brush + Drying condition : Degree of wetness is less than 16% ( Protimetter range) or 70% (Lutron range) Mastic coat ( putty coat ) : 2 layers + Mix the mastic powder (40 kg) water ( 14 16 liters ) by mixing machine within 3 minutes. + Let the mix within 10 minutes then restir + Plaster the first layer by putty knife within 2 hours after mixture. + The wet thickness is about 0.81 mm , the dry thickness is about 0.50.6 mm + After the first have enough dryness, proceed the second layer following above steps Priming coat : + Checking the waveness and make flat before proceeding + Checking the wetness degree : is less than 16% ( Proti metter range) or 70% (Lutron range) + Dilute by clean water or solven ( not more than 15% of capacity). Mixing within 3 minutes. + Using roller or sprayer for painting application. + Let to dry at least 2 hours before proceed the top coat. Top coat : 2 layers + Dilute by clean water or solven ( not more than 15% of capacity). Mixing within 3 minutes. + Using roller or sprayer for first layer application. + Let to dry at least 2 hours before proceed the 2nd layer. + Can add the clean water ( 3 5 %) into the mix which used more 2 hours then use it for 2nd layer. + Using roller or sprayer for 2nd layer application.
