Aim of this lesson - By the end of this lesson, sts will be able to: + know some more about Ao dai, the traditional dress of Vietnamese women * Language content: - Vocabulary: poet, slit, inspiration, take inspiration from, ethnic minorities, design, fashion . - Structure: Present perfect tense Passive voice II. Preparation - Teacher: Text book, pictures, poster, lesson plan. - Students: Homework, tools for learning. III. Checking up the old lesson - Calls two sts to go to the blackboard: 1. Write the new word of the previous lesson. 2. Make sentences with Wish: a. I/ have/ a new bike. b. They/ visit/ HCMs Mausoleum. Answer key: a. I wish I had a new bike. b. They wish they visited HCMs Mausoleum. - Teacher checks and corrects the mistakes. - Gives marks. IV. What do you know about Ao dai? - Ao dai is the traditional dress of Vietnam b. What meterial is Ao dai made from? - Ao dai is made from silk c. Who wears Ao dai? - Both men and women 2. While - teach: * The present perfect tense. + Form: S + have/ has + P.P + O Eg: For centuries, poets have mentions Aodai in poems. + Use: Express an action that has happened from the past and lasted to the present (or future). Note: For, since, just, already, never, ever, yet, recently, so far . are usually used in Present perfect tense. - Asks sts to read the text and use the informtion there to complete the sentences below about the content of the lesson. (page 12) a. For a long time the Ao dai has been the subject of poems, novels and songs. b. The Ao dai is described as a long silk tunic with slits up the sides worn over loose pants c. The majority of Vietnamese women prefer to wear modern clothing at work d. Some designers have modernized the Ao dai by printing lines of poetry on it. e. Another alternative is to add symbols such as suns, stars, crosses and srtipes - Asks sts to compair the answers with the others. - Calls some sts to read the answers loudly. - Divides the class into 3 groups, each group answwes 1 question. - Calls sts to take the answers. 1. Traditionally, men and women used to wear the Ao dai. 2. Because It is convenient. 13' 10' - Read in chorus/ individually. - Work individually. - Copy down the Vocabulary. - Choose 5 of the words in Vocab, listen to teacher and shout Bingo when sts hear their chosen words. - Listen and answer the qs in pairs. - Compair the answers. - Read the answers loudly. Aim of this lesson - By the end of this lesson, sts will be able to: + Ask and respond to questions on personal references ( ý kiÕn) * Language content: - Vocabulary: T- shirt, a plaid skirt, a plain suit, a short- sleeved blouse, a sleeveless sweater, a striped shirt, baggy pants, faded jeans. - Structure: + What do you usually wear on the weekend? + Why do you wear these clothes? + What is your favorite type of clothing? II. Preparation - Teacher: Text book, pictures, poster, lesson plan. - Students: Homework, tools for learning. III. Checking up the old lesson - Calls two sts to go to the blackboard: 1. Sts write the new word of the previous lesson. 2. Sts read the text and answer the questions. a. Who have mentioned the Ao dai in poems, novels and songs? b. What meterial is Ao dai made from? c.
