There are three main parts in this literature for each content focus: (1) The history of advertising title, that takes you back to the past to discover the origin of advertising; (2) Types of advertising and its process which can make you feel surprised by its extremely rapid development; and (3) The effect of advertising in our life that concentrates on people’s opinions about advertising, its attraction and especially its role in our life. If you have more knowledge about advertising you will realize its values and meanings. Furthermore, a survey was done during this study to make a good example in real life. We’ve made a short discussion to describe about the advantages, disadvantages, and some kind of advertising that attract people most. Finally, we provide some sites that give us useful information.

General Introduction As you know, advertising has become a huge industry Especially in Vietnam, we have so many good beneficial points and chances to develop an industry like this In this literature, you will know more clearly about how good advertising really is, and your knowledge about advertising will be increased significantly We believe that when you reached the last page, you will have a new thought and a different view of advertising You can’t see in your mind's eye how long advertising has existed and how it has developed during the time until you read this study After all, you’ll be convinced that advertising is worth being considered as an art of life b Review of literature Review of literature (the library and Internet research) We choose the Internet as a best way to support our research The reason is that Internet is a various information resource which includes so many things that we need to know about our topic Besides, the information is given by many different viewpoints so we have to sift carefully to get the most efficient clues In addition, the library of Banking Academy is not useful because its documents are limited and it is complicated for us to collect data Moreover, this study is written by our knowledge and tells you the way how we got the information, not extracted from other documents so it will be very simple to understand and you can bear it in mind easily Therefore, we consider this study as a valuable document for work, study or other fields in life c The connection of your study to the literature Our study is a mixture of literature and practical information In general, our evidence we collected is similar to the information on the Internet We use both questionnaire and interview to contribute to make the study more reliable and more profound We believe that they are useful for this study In particular, we want to have a good data to support our study, so we chose a questionnaire By using this method we could get a huge number of people’s opinions in a short time but for interviews, we couldn’t that To have an efficient data, we collect standpoints of many people at many different ages and positions We may be direct to give them questions but we also post the questions on the Internet for people and ask them to answer This doesn’t take a lot of time but we still have data we need On the other hand, we also use interviews to explain and make our data clearer For this method, we have to meet directly people to ask them and then collect all of their viewpoints to calculate and make a comparing paragraph between the information and the data on the Internet For that reason, interviews and questionnaires require exact number and information that will express the reality of this study d Purpose of your study Our purpose of this study is not only to improve our own researching skills but we also want everybody to understand what we’re trying to describe We choose this topic because we think it will be a good topic that everybody is easy to understand Also, the quantity and quality of services are increasing more and more, so we want people know that advertising is a part of our life and even its appearance has changed our world This is the most forceful evidence for its function in our life Methods The survey was done to collect information for the influence of advertising on our life This includes questions to clarify perceptions of people about advertising, people's habits as well as the impact of different types of advertising in daily life We, Group S in class F03C, made this survey from 27 to 29 April 2010 in Hanoi People who were interviewed are from 10 to 65 years old They had to answer 10 questions in many types of questions such as multiple-choice questions, multiple-answer questions, open-ended questions and arrangements in order of influence The sample side for each question is 50 people We gave the paper which contains 10 questions to 50 people and got back day later Then we made a statistic and worked out to get the percentage This way helped us save time and get an accurate result Questionnaire is very convenient because people who were asked could express their opinions at ease Besides, they have time to consider the questions, so the answers are more accurate than when they were asked directly There are also open-ended questions for people to free writing their opinions on the paper Therefore, we can collect much information at the same time The questions in survey are easy to understand and close to life All of these things make the survey become interesting and diverse Results The comparing list shows the sentiment of people about advertising and its influence on their life in Hanoi in 2010 As far as the feeling of people about is concerned, people have many different standpoints about advertising The greatest proportion of people (56%) said that advertising surrounds and disturbs their life, while it accounted for just 14% people who suppose that advertising helps them keep up with new trends Therefore, the largest percentage of people agrees that advertising doesn’t provide enough information about products at 62%, compared with 18% people think that advertising information is accurate and sufficient However, the result we collected points out the majority of people, amounting to 56%, gave their opinion is that advertising is ok, but the fewest people like advertising and the remaining 36% don’t like advertising So, the data indicates that for almost people, advertising hasn’t satisfied them and advertising has to improve and develop more to get their attention The second most important thing is the result about the effect of advertising to human life For example, when we ask people that if they talk about advertising like the subject of your conversation people (66%) said that they had ever done that, 12/50 (24%) said that they always did that and just 5/50 (5%) said that they had never done that And 84% of people who were interviewed said that sometimes they whisper or whistle to the advertising music So we can see the effect of advertising to human mind and they habits Because advertising is normal and it is replayed time to time Beside, advertising was made for people to understand and remember, so it is easy to go into memory Through the investigation, we found that the time people spend on advertising is not less with both intentionally and see advertisements because of waiting between different programs More than 45% people thing they watch advertising 1-3 hours a day and they can see them every where 42% people say they usually change the channel when see advertising and don't pay attention when see it outside, they just see advertising less hour a day And just 14% say they like watch adverting as a way for relax We think that this survey will make sense for people who care about advertising and want to learn about this new industry And you, after consulting with our research, would you draw an idea by yourself to take advantages of those marvelous resources that could be brought by advertising? The answer is up to you, the product consumers Discussion Advertising seems to be a part of our life nowadays It’s supposed that almost all people like advertising, especially children and women They think it is a form of entertainment which’s useful and necessary for their life Children are impressed by its music and funny animations Some children dare to quit their meal because they aren’t allowed to watch their favorite advertising scene We need to let them watch if we want them to finish their eating Besides, women are impressed by the useful of cosmetic, fashion and something like that In contrast, some men and old people aren’t interested in advertising They think it’s just considered as a transport of a purchase Moreover, it wastes lots of their time and sometimes make them angry more than happy On the other hand, we can’t deny the effects of advertising on people, culture and many aspects of our life Most evidence we collected from the Internet indicates that advertising is a good way to give us more information about many type of products Can we trust all the products that appear in advertising?
