Week 8 Preparing day: 20/10/06 Period 16 Teaching day: 24/10/06 Unit 3: a trip to the countryside speak A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to ask for and give information about their own village. *Education: hard working *Skills speaking B - Language contents: + Vocabulary: Review + Grammar : Wh - questions -Techniques : games, ask – answer, pair/ group work. -Teaching aids : sub-board , textbook, pictures. -Time: 45’ C/Procedures T’s-Ss’ activities Contents 1/ Warm up (5’) Noughts & crosses Questions and answers about a place -Divide the class in to two teams -Draw a nine – square grid on the board. -Each square is numbered 1-5 -The teams will take turn to choose the number and make a question, using the word given on the card. If they can make a correct question, put X or O. 2/ Pre- speaking(5’) T: remind the WH-question and Yes-No question in the game. T: introduce the task of speaking 3/ While –speaking(20’) T: Have students read the questions in exercise a, on page 24, work in pairs, play the role of A and B, ask and answer about their partner’s home village, Using the information in the box. - Tell students to cover the role that they 1/ Noughts and crosses.
