T checks some pairs and leads into the new lesson. 2.Presentation(15’) T shows Hoa in the picture and asks: -Do you remember Hoa? -Where is she from? -Whom does she live with now? Ss answer. T introduces the situation of the dialogue and asks Ss to listen to the tape twice.(using the textbooks). T gives vocab and says through grammar. T asks Ss to write the answers on the board . T corrects. 4.Production(10’) T gives an open dialogue. Ask sts to work in groups to complete the dialogue. T checks some groups before class and corrects mistakes. Procedures: Teacher &- Students’ activities Contents 1.Checking up (5’) T asks sSs to think of the adjectives used to describe body build and hair. Ss work in groups. T checks and gives feedback 2 . - SPEAK (20’) 2a.Pre Speaking T introduces some more adjectives. Drill pronunciation. T shows Ss a picture of Mary and asks Ss to describe her hair, her body build. T reminds the structures used to describe people. T asks Ss to read the dialogue between Hoa and Lan. 3a.While speaking T shows six pictures( page 11,12) on the board and asks Ss to look at them. T gives Ss some expressions and gives their meanings. Ask Ss to guess and to complete four dialogues on page 12,13. 3b.While-listening Let sts listen to the tape twice. Ask sts to work in pairs to complete the dialogues and compare with their predictions. T gives feedback 4b.Post-listening Ask sts to practice speaking the dialogues. Correct their pronunciation . II. l anguage contents : - vocab: sociable, generous, reserved, humorous, orphanage, annoy, jokes - structure: *Adj + enough + to infinitive. III . Techniques : pairwork, groupwork. IV.Teaching aids: textbook, pictures, sub- board. V. Procedures: Teacher& Students’ activities Contents 1Checking up(5’) T asks sts to write the adjectives used to describe people. Divide the class into two teams. Sts try to write as many adjs as possible. Find out the winner. T leads into the new lesson: 2.Pre-reading(10’) T gives sts some guiding questions and asks sts to answer them. T gives vocab and explains the meanings. Drill pronunciation. Sts write down. Post-writing(10’) T collects some papers to correct , shows Ss some errors Ask each of students to make a similar paragraph about himself or herself.
