WEEK 29 Date of preparing: 25/03/2017 Date of teaching: Monday, 27/03/2017 Morning: Period 4: 3C Tuesday, 28/03/2017 Afternoon: Period 1: 3B, Period 2: 3A UNIT 16: DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? Lesson 3: 1, 2, I Aim: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: identify toys, and ask and answer questions about toys Pronounce the sounds in the letters /o/ in word dog, /o / in word parrot correctly II Language content Vocabulary: none Sentence pattern: none Skill: speaking, listening, reading and writing skills III Resources and teaching aids: teacher’s and students’ book, cassette, tape, board… IV Techniques: ask and answer V Procedure Warm up: Sing the song A Basic activities Listen and repeat - Teacher introduces the two letters - Teacher play the tape, students listen - Ask students repeat the words - Calls some sts to read Correct their mistakes Listen and write - Have Ss look at the table - Ask Ss to listen the tape carefully then write the word they can hear - Play the tape times, ask Ss to work in pairs in mins to write - Call Ss to write their words on the board - Check and correct mistakes - Ask Ss to read aloud sentences B Practical activities Let’s chant - Teacher introduces the chant - Play the tape Ask students to read each sentence in the chant - Play the chant again and asks students to read - Ask students to read the song, combine with slap their hands - Divide class into groups to compete together C Application activities Practice the chant at home - Date of preparing: 26/03/2017 Date of teaching: Tuesday, 28/03/2017 Afternoon: Period 3: 3A Wednesday,29/03/2017 Morning: Period 3: 3B, Period 4:3C UNIT 16: DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? Lesson 1, 2, I Aim: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to ask and answer about toys II Language content 1.Vocabulary: ship, truck, kite, plane, train Sentence pattern: What toys you like? - I like ships Skill: speaking and listening III Resources and teaching aids: teacher’s and student’s book, projector, CD, pictures… IV Techniques: ask and answer, role play, rub out and remember V Procedure Warm up: Slap the board the vocabulary learnt A Basic activities a New words - Teacher presents students some new words: ship, truck, kite, plane, train - Teacher plays the tape and students repeat these words - Teacher reads again and then calls some students to read aloud The others listen and give comments about their friend’s pronunciation - Teacher correct students’ mistakes - Ask students to take note - Give students to play the game “rub out and remember” to check their vocabulary b Sentence pattern - Teacher presents ( explains) the new structure and gives a example - Students listen and take note What toys you like? - I like ships B Practical activities Look, listen and repeat - Ask students to look at the picture in the book and ask: Who are they in the picture?
