I work in the museum in London but I love to spend my holidays in the country, in the open air, near the sea.I'm happy to have a house near the sea. It is rather far from London and I usually drive there for 3 hours. It's an old house, about 100 years old, and it's very small but very clean and comfortable. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs but no bathroom . The bathroom is downstairs next to the kitchen and there is a living-room where there is a lovely old fireplace. In the living-room there are 8 very old pictures- portraits of the people who lived in the house many year ago. Some of my friends are afraid of them, they think that these dead people visit the house at night. But I don't think so. I'm never afraid in my house, but always happy. There is a garden in front of the house. The garden goes down to the sea and in spring and summer there are flowers everywhere. Behind my house there are old apple trees and every autumn I have got a lot of nice red apples. I often give them to my friends as birthday present.
