He’s desperate for a job. Part 2: 1. to be fond of ( smt / doing smt): to like Eg : She’s fond of giving orders. I’m not fond of chocolate. b.( smb / smt) : to love in a gentle or sentimental way. Eg: Although I don’t love him, I am very fond of him. 2. to be keen ( on smt / on doing smt) : to like very much, to be interested in smt. Eg: I’m keen on this kind of work. b. ( to do smt): want to do smt very much Eg: I wasn’t keen to come at fisrt; but now I’m glad I did. My father’s keen for me to become a doctor. 3. to be crazy about ( smb / smt): to like very much.
