Unit 5. HIGHER EDUCATION Lesson : Listening Date of preparation: •Aims : to teach sts listening skill, know more about the problems when studying in a new school. • Objective: at the end of the lesson sts will be able to understand about the students’ impression of university life, improve their listening skills, listen for main ideas and specific information. • Lexical items: • Teaching method : communicative •.Teaching aids : textbooks, guidebook, computer •.Teaching procedure . What university?” I.PRE - LISTENING - Lead in: These are some problems that international Ss get when studying at an oversea university. -Ask Ss to match which difficulty Ss may get to a solution. - Possible answers: 1-b 2-a Problems Solutions. 1. Oversea Ss are too shy to take questions. 2. There are too many things to read. a. Try to find out which important items on the list. b.
