PHRASAL VERBS

A Committing crimes:

Hold up: to steal from a person, business, or vehicle by

threatening them with a gun or other weapon

A thief held up the jewelry shop last week

Deprive someone of something: if you deprive someone of

something, you take it away from them or prevent them from having

it
