Story #1

It was a chilly evening in February You were riding your bicycle

home late, looking forward to a hot shower and a steaming bowl

of chicken soup You rode past the church just before the bells rang

11:00 Suddenly from around the corner, a young man on a

skateboard nearly crashed into you He was carrying something

bulky inside his jacket, but you couldn’t see what it was

“Oh, sorry.” He said nervously, but you didn’t have time to say

anything back before he sped off on his skateboard down the

street.

“That was funny.” You thought to yourself “Wait a minute!” you

said out loud to the empty street, “That was Bob, a friend of

Johnny’s! But what was he doing out here tonight?”

…A few days later, a Detective from the Local Police stopped by to

ask you a few questions about the person you saw that night.

Story #2

It was a beautiful morning in July You got up just before the sunrise to walk your dog, Rusty, in the park As you walked and enjoyed the fresh morning air you thought of all the things that waited for you in the day You had an appointment with the hairdresser; you were looking forward to that! There was some work and deadlines to think about, too And your boyfriend was going to take you to dinner; that made you smile already Your mind was just beginning to wander when Rusty started growling

at something or someone.

“Shh, Rusty Calm down.” You said softly.

Then you saw her, and for some reason you decided it was best to turn around and go quickly home.

…The very next day, a Detective from the Local Police stopped by

to ask you a few questions about the person you saw that morning.
