CÁCH SỬ DỤNG MỘT SỐ TỪ LOẠI I Đại từ bất định: gồm có nhóm sau Some : somebody, someone, something - dùng câu khẳng định với động từ số eg There is somebody at the door./ I’ve got something in my bag - dùng muốn ‘mời’ hay ‘yêu cầu’ điều Would you like something to drink? Any : anybody, anyone, anything - dùng câu phủ định nghi vấn eg Is there anybody in the room? / I’m very tired now I don’t want to eat anything - dùng mệnh đề ‘If’ If anyone has any questions, I’ll pleased to answer them No : nobody, noone, nothing( =not anyone, anybody, anything) - dùng câu khẳng định mang nghĩa phủ định, đứng đầu câu đứng eg ‘What did you say?’ ‘Nothing’ - dùng với động từ hình thức số eg.The house is empty.There is nobody living there - Sau nobody, noone dùng ‘ they, them, their’ eg Noone in the class did their homework II Từ xác định đứng trước: có chức làm đại từ, dùng trước giới từ OF danh từ số số nhiều, đếm không đếm Động từ theo sau hình thức số số nhiều, tùy loại - All (tất cả), some (vài), a few (một vài), several (vài), both (cả hai), each (mỗi), either (một hai), neither (không ai/ hai), none (không ai/ nhiều), little, much, many Some of / Most of / None of + the , this, that, these, those, my, his, Ann’s với động từ số số nhiều tùy thuộc vào danh từ sau eg Some of the people I work with are very friendly None of this money is mine Có thể dùng ‘ Some of, None of ’ + us / you / them eg How many of these pens you want? A few of them/ None of them Có thể dùng ‘ Some, most, many, little, ’ mà danh từ eg Some pupils are lazy but some are not Khi dùng ‘ both, either, neither’ + of cần có ‘ the/ these/ those/ my/ his/ Ann’s ’ eg Both of these books are very interesting I haven’t read either of these books Có thể dùng ‘ both of/ neither of/ either of + us/ you/ them’ eg Both of us are students / Neither of them are good pupils Sau Neither of động từ hình thức số số nhiều eg Neither of the children want ( wants) to go to bed ‘Either, neither, both’ hai việc, ‘Any, none, all’ hai việc eg I tried two hats Neither of them fit me Both of them were too large I tried a lot of hats None of them fit me All of them were too large Không dùng All để ‘ everybody, everyone’ eg Everyone ẹnjoyed the party Everybody, everyone, everything dùng với động từ dạng số eg Everyone is in the room 10 All dùng với danh từ số số nhiều Động từ theo sau hình thức số số nhiều tùy thuộc vào danh từ trước số số nhiều eg All of the books on the self are expensive All of the money has been spent 11 Little, much : dùng với danh từ không đếm được( số ít) eg Much of the time in my life was in the countryside - Many, few: dùng với danh từ đếm được( số nhiều) eg We have many interesting stories - Little, few mang nghĩa phủ định( không đáng kể) eg We must be quick There is little time.( not much/ not enough time) - A little/ a few mang tính khẳng định nhiều eg I have a few friends and we meet quite often 12 A lot of/ lots of/ plenty of: dùng với danh từ số nhiều danh từ không đếm eg He has a lot of friends./ a lot of luck./ lots of time He won plenty of money 13 Much, many dùng chủ yếu câu hỏi câu phủ định eg We didn’t have much time./ Do you know many people? - Much many dùng câu khẳng định với trạng từ: very, too, so eg There are too many people here
