Châu Văn liêm High School LESSON PLAN UNIT 13: HOBBIES Part B: Reading (Students’ book, page 146) Grade 11 Class: 11C5 Period: 79 Date: 09/03/2011 I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:  Develop such reading skills are scanning for specific information, and guessing meaning in context  Use the information they have read to discuss the related topic II Materials: - Textbook, posters, and handouts III.Procedure Time 5’ Contents WARM UP: TELL THE STORY Mary : listening to music Her father: fishing Her mother : cooking Her younger brother : reading book Her grandmother: watching TV Her sister: swimming 2’ 5’ Teacher’s and Students’ activities T divides class into two groups (A and B) T gives instructions: “You will watch a sh video about some activities of the member Mary’s family in free time and try to reme what these people in the video clip are Then you will go to the board to write dow these activities in 1’ Which group finishe and has more activities will be the winne  T checks Ss’ understanding + Who are in group A (B)? Please praise hand + Will you work in groups or in pairs? + Will you give the name of some activitie their free time?
