Week 6 Period 11 Unit 2 CLOTHING WRITE I. Objectives By the end of the lesson, students will be able to - know how to present one side of an argument - improve their writing skill II. Language contents 1. Vocabulary Point of view = view point – opinion, conclusion (n), sum up 2. Grammar Review III. Techniques and activities Ask and answer, read, write, pair – work, individual – work, balloon debate, …. IV. Teaching aids Sub – board V. Procedures 1. Warm – up (5’) T: asks some questions to review the previous lesson + Where does the word “jeans” come from? + Who was it named after? + What was it made from? Ss: reply 2. Pre – writing (15’) T: gives instructions Ss: look at the table and outline A, then read T: pre – teaches voc * New words - point of view = view point – opinion - conclusion (n) - sum up 3. While – writing (15’) T: gives instructions Ss: work in groups of four and write a paragraph using the information given T: goes around the class and helps them if necessary Ss: compare and then write on the board T: corrects mistakes if necessary T’s book (p.30) 4. Post - writing (7’) T: gives instructions Ss: play game “Balloon dabate” T: gets feedback T: corrects mistakes if necessary 5.
