Warm-up (5 minutes): TAM SAO THAT BAN - Divide class into 2 teams and call some students go to the board in lines. - Say 4 different word for each teams (1 member in each team) and then students will transfer those words to the last person in each line and that person will write the word heard. - The winner has 4/4 right answers and received a gift Team 1: coal, oil, gas, geothermal Team 2: nuclear energy, wind energy, water energy, solar energy II. Pre- listening (7 minutes): - T asks students to close their eyes and listen: resources, fossil fuels, renewable, non- renewable. Then, ask students to repeat those words chorally and individually - T checks the meaning of those words. - T checks vocabulary (those words) by asking students to say Vietnamese meaning of each word the teacher says III. While- listening (24 minutes): 1. Task 1: Listening Comprehension (5) for animal (1) replaced quickly fossil fuels (2) not (3) replaced quickly and (coal, oil, gas) (4) Resources - Ask students to listen to the tape and fill in the gaps. - Check instructions. - Let students listen to the tape 3 times - Check the answers with class 1. renewable 2. non- renewable 3. be 4. easily 5. grass 2. Home- work and evaluation (2 minute) - Write 5 sentences relating to the listening. - Give comments about students’ learning attitude during the period. - Ask students to give their ideas/ feeling about the period and the teacher’s teaching method.
