Vĩnh Thạnh Junior High School Teaching plan grade 6 Date of preparing: Week: 36 Date of teaching: Period: 107 UNIT 16: MAN AND THE ENVIRONMENT Lesson: B7 I. The objectives: 1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to practice using “should / shouldn’t ” and imperative sentences. 2. Skills: Drill and improve all skills but pay attention to speaking skill. 3. Educational aim: enjoy speaking English. II. Preparation: 1. Teacher: Textbook, teaching plan, pictures, cassette, tape. 2. Students: Textbook, notebook, prepare well for new lesson. III. Teaching and learning procedure: 1. Checking attendance. 2. Checking the old lesson. 3. New lesson. Teacher and students’ activities Contents -T divides class into two groups. -T asks Ss to rearrange the letters to make the correct word. -The group which completes the task first will be the winner. - T reviews grammar. - Ss listen to the teacher and take notes. WARM - UP * Jumble words seva  save taswe  waste gadema  damage levae  leave PRESENTATION  Grammar: 1. “ should / shouldn’t” - give advice or obligation. Ex: - He should stop smoking. - You shoudn’t tell lies. - Should I go and see them ? 2. Imperative sentences: Ex: - Open the door. - Get out of here. - Don’t pick flowers. PRACTICE  Remember - Save water. - Don’t waste water. - We should save water. - We shouldn’t waste it.  Practice using “should” and “shouldn’t” with a partner. Example: a) We should not leave trash. b) We should not waste water. c) We should not damage trees. d) We should collect cans and bottles. e) We should not pick flowers. f) We should keep off grass. g) We should collect paper.  Practice using imperative sentences: - Don’t damage trees. - Don’t pick flowers. - Don’t throw trash on the street. - Save water. - Collect paper.
