Education, Training & Employment Educational achievement is important to the long-term economy. In some countries literacy levels are falling, and attention spans are getting shorter. Political Government, legal and voluntary frameworks control and influence behavior. National and local government have a direct effect on our lives. In the EU there is an ever-growing range of standardization agreed by the member states. Legal There are laws to control such issues as competition and unfair trading practices, consumer protection and consumer legislation. How effective they are depends upon national attitude and the degree of control and its efficiency. There is a need to know, understand and comply with all relevant control measures. Ignorance of the law is no defense. Environmental protection Each country has evolved different environmental control regulations. There is growing international concern with global environmental protection, air, water and land usage. The Green Movement it active across the world to encourage government, organizations and individuals to introduce and strict measures to protect the environment. .
