Warm up. -Ask Ss to play the Net work. Most popular Sports in VN B. Presentation. *Pre-reading. Introduce the reading and ask Ss to answer the question:  What are the Ss in the picture doing?  Do you often take a walk?  What are the benefits of walking? *While – reading. - Ask ss to read the reading in silence and ask Ss to answer the questions by trying to guessing the meaning of the new words. - Share the answers to the partner. -Call Ss to read the questions aloud. -Give the meaning of new words for Ss to write the answers down. Walking competion : cuộc hi đi bộ. Win: chiến thắng First prize: giải nhất Wish: mong ước Therefore: do đó Organize: tổ chức. Paticipant: người tham dự Increase: tăng lên Volunteer: tình nguyện Inexpensive: không đắt Ability: khả năng -Ask Ss to read the new words aloud in chorus. -Read the reading and write the answers on the BB. a) He takes part in Walking For Fund ( WFF) club. b) The writer’s school team won the first prize ; they are so happy and wanted to keep the activities. c) One activity is a five km walk to the beach on Sunday morning; and the other is walk- to- school day. d) It is 5 km from school to the beach. e) Wednesday is the WTS day. f) Members living near school often take part in the WTS day. -Correct if necessary. -Call Ss to read the reading aloud *Post - reading. -Ask Ss to give the benefit of walking: -Work in pairs to discuss the questions. -Write the benefit on the BB. + Walking: - Fun. For everyone. - Easy. Healthy. - Inexpensive. 4. Consolidation: - -Ask Ss to give the main content of the lesson; The useful of walking. -Read the reading and do the exercise 4 in the work book ( p 83) -Ask Ss to listen to the order of the lesson and give the meaning of new words: Summer is on its way: kỳ nghỉ hè đang đến gần. Aim: mục đích Water safety awareness: chú ý về sự an toàn dưới nước Obey: tuân theo Pool lifeguard: người cứu hộ. Pool edge: thành bể Be aware of : nhận thức Red and yellow flags: cờ đỏ, cờ vàng. -Ask Ss to work in pairs to change the adjectives into adverbs. -Write the answers on the BB. Clear -> Clearly. Careful -> Carefully. Safe -> Safely. Careless -> Carelessly. Strict -> Strictly. -Read the reading again. 4.Consolidation: -Ask Ss to give the main form of the lesson : the adverbs of manner 5.
