John asked -> John asked Peter when the first day of his holiday was. 12. “ Have you done this sort of work before?” she asked me. -> She asked me if I had done that sort of work before. 13. “You can leave early” Mr. Benson said to Alison. -> Mr. Benson let Alison leave early. 14. I didn’t finish my work” Lan said to her boss. -> Lan apologized to her boss for not finishing her work. 20. “Would you mind opening the windows?” she said to me -> She asked me to open the windows. 21. “How many people will you meet tomorrow, Peter? Mary asked -> Mary wanted to know how many people Peter would meet the following day. 22. “When did you phone me?” she asked me -> She asked me when I had phoned her. 23. “When did you have lunch yesterday?” my father asked me -> My father wanted to know when I had had lunch the day before. 24. “ Why don’t you go to school this morning?
