Lesson Plan 26(grade 11 – advanced) Period : 26 Preparation date : 17/10/2011 Unit : 4 Lesson : Volunteer work and literacy programs ( comprehension) I. Aims : - By the end of the lesson, the students are able to scan reading for specific information. - By the end of the lesson, the students are able to skim reading for general ideas. II. Lexical items : - volunteer - first – hand - remedial - conduct - literacy - benefit - hardship - interpersonal III. Structures : - Our main task was to teach beginners how to read and write - Every morning we conducted remedial courses for weak schoolboys. - Helping the community enables us to develop our interpersonal skills… IV. Teaching aids: - textbook - picture / drawings - chalk - handouts V. Techniques : - Skill – based ( reading, speaking) VI.
