I.Aim of the lesson: By the end of the lesson, Ss can express likes and dislikes using the structure “I like…/ I don’t like…”. They can ask and answer about food items using “Do you like…?” Yes I do/ No I don’t. II.Language focus: -Grammar: +I like chicken / I don’t like chicken. +Do you like chicken? Yes, I do/No I don’t. III.Skills: Listening and speaking. IV.Materials: CD, the student book, Activity book, real objects ( candy, cake, milk, juice) V.Procedures: Procedure Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm up (5mins) -Greetings. -Hold up real objects: Milk, juice…Ask ss each item, let ss name it. Play CD, let ss listen and sing along “I like juice” Song. Greetings Take part in the game. Work in groups. Recognize and classify foods and drinks. The group finishing first calls out: Bingo! Presentation (8mins) -Ask Ss to open the book at page 24, look at the pictures. -T asks Ss some questions: What is he doing?/ What are they doing? -Let Ss guess the situation in each picture. -Call Ss to answer Look at the pictures in the book. Guess the situation in each picture. Answer the questions Give remarks. -Give remarks. Controlled- practice (15mins) -T points to each picture,reads the phrases, and does the actions. Eg. Eat the candy ( T pretends to eat the candy) -Play CD, Have ss listen and point to each picture. -Play CD again, have Ss repeat. -Call some Ss to go to the board and express the actions after the tape. -T do the action, let Ss guess the meaning of the actions. Look at the pictures and point to each picture as T does the actions. Listen and point Listen and repeat. Some ss go to the board and do the actions. Guess the meaning of the actions. Feed-back (10mins) -Call each Ss to re-act the actions, let the others guess the meaning. -Give remarks. Re-act the actions The other Ss guess the meaning. Further- practice (17mins) -Give each student a photo of exercise “Do it” (Activity) *A-23: Listen and number. -Have Ss guess the meaning of each picture. -Play CD. Let Ss listen and number (3 times). -Check their answers. *B23: Listen again.Write √ or Х. -T asks Ss the situation in the picture. -Play CD again. Let Ss write. -Check up their answers. -Have Ss listen to ‘Sing-a- gram’.Play CD, let Ss point. -Play CD again, let Ss point and sing. Do exercise. Look at the pictures and guess the meaningof the actions. Listen to the tape and number. Answer: 1-e 2-f 3-b 4-c 5-d 6-a Guess the situation in the picture. Listen and write √ or Х. Give their answers: 1 √ 2 Х 3 √ 4 Х 5 Х 6√ Listen to the song Point and sing aloud. Homework (5mins) Ask ss to learn by heart the actions thethey have learned. Listen
