Trang 61.1 Background of study
Finding a job after graduation is a significant challenge for students (Abel et al., n.d.), especially those majoring in Business Administration The Vietnamese labor market is highly competitive and demands not only professional knowledge but also soft skills and a practical understanding of the workplace Many final-year students at HUFLIT, a private university in Ho Chi Minh City, face difficulties in securing satisfactory employment after graduation These difficulties stem from various factors, including pressure from family and friends regarding career choices, lack of clear career orientation, underdeveloped soft skills, and foreign language barriers (Wanberg et al., 2020) This situation not only affects students’ confidence and job opportunities but also creates psychological pressure and hinders their ability to integrate into the modern labor market This study aims to analyze the challenges faced by final-year Business Administration students at HUFLIT in finding jobs and to propose practical solutions to support them in this process
1.2 Research gap
Many studies have analyzed the difficulties that students encounter when finding jobs, but few studies focus specifically on students majoring in Business Administration at HUFLIT private university Factors such as family pressure, friends and language barriers have not been fully exploited This study will fill that gap by exploring the unique challenges of HUFLIT students and proposing solutions to support the job search process of 4th-year students
1.3 Research Objectives
Finding a job for 4th-year students is always a big challenge for students, especially final-year students of Business Administration at HUFLIT This study aims to explore the difficulties that students encounter in accessing the labor market Specifically, the study will analyze factors such as
pressure from family and friends, lack of clear career orientation, underdeveloped soft skills, and
language barriers in the working environment In addition, the study also considers external factors such as market demand, increasing recruitment requirements, and the impact of the socio-economic environment on students’ job opportunities (Feldman, 2020) The aim of the study is not only to identify the challenges but also to propose practical solutions to help students overcome difficulties and improve their chances of success in finding a job

Trang 82.1 Overview of employment challenges for final-year students in the Faculty of Business Administration
Ensuring employment after graduation is a concern for all final-year students, especially in highly competitive fields like Business Administration Final-year students in the Faculty of Business Administration at HUFLIT (Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology) face many challenges, including limited experience, lack of professional skills, etc Therefore, this study aims to explore the specific factors related to employment challenges faced by 4th-year students in the Faculty of Business Administration at HUFLIT, thereby proposing solutions
to enhance their employability
2.2 Review of background theory
2.2.1 Theoretical Framework on Employment Challenges
Theoretical models applied to analyze the difficulties in job searching for students include the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), Self-Efficacy Theory, Career Construction Theory (CCT), and Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) These frameworks examine the factors influencing job
search behavior, such as personal motivation, skills readiness, environmental barriers, and the
alignment of career expectations with opportunities (Bandura, 1994; Lent et al., 1994) For example, TPB emphasizes how attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control shape students’ job search intentions and actions (Ajzen, 2000)
Furthermore, SCCT delves into the role of self-efficacy, goal setting, and external support systems
in career decision-making, making it particularly relevant for analyzing employment challenges in the dynamic business landscape (Lent et al., 2000) These theories highlight the interplay between individual and environmental factors, providing a comprehensive perspective on the barriers students face in the transition to the workforce
2.3 Research Hypotheses Development

Trang 92.3.1 The relationship between Professional Skills and the difficulties in finding a job According to (Nabil Bin NASIR et al., n.d.), Professional skills can be defined as the ability to perform specific tasks related to the student's major or field of study When students possess solid professional skills, they are better able to meet the requirements of employers and reduce difficulties
in the job search process Therefore, the following research hypothesis can be proposed:
HI: Professional skills have a significant impact on the difficulty level in finding a job 2.3.2 The relationship between Perception of Technology and the difficulties in finding a job Perception of Technology can be defined as students’ understanding of and attitudes towards the role
of technology in the workplace, including their ability to use relevant software and digital tools (Wang & Qu, 2022) This study suggests that students with a positive perception of technology and the ability to adapt to new technological advancements may have an easier time navigating the job market and meeting employer expectations
Therefore, the following research hypothesis can be proposed:
H2: A positive perception of technology has a significant negative impact on the difficulty level in finding a job
2.3.3 The relationship between Support Conditions and the difficulties in finding a job

4
Trang 10influence can create barriers and limit opportunities

H4: Positive social influence has a significant negative impact on the difficulty level in finding a job for
2.3.5 The relationship between Satisfaction Level with career support services and the difficulties in finding a job
Satisfaction Level with career support services refers to how satisfied students are with the quality and effectiveness of the career guidance and resources provided by their university (Abd Rahman et al., 2021a) said that High levels of satisfaction suggest that students feel supported and well- equipped for their job search, which can lead to greater confidence and success

HS: High satisfaction levels with career support services have a significant negative impact on the difficulty level in finding a job
2.3.6 The relationship between Learning Intention towards career support services and the difficulties in finding a job
