As previously stated, a summary is not required for task 1, but you can write oneif you want to However, you will notice there is no example model summary forthe example model answer in unit 9 because the word count is already over 200words If you have more comparative information to add, it is better to use thetime adding that type of detail, which provides additional data comparisons.Again, for this practice test, there is a lot of data to describe, so the introductionand body paragraphs have already taken the word count to over 180 words Inthese circumstances, it may be better to spend the time planning and writing task2, which is worth more marks than task 1 Don't forget, the management of timein the IELTS writing test is essential if you want to attain a high band score
