Trang 2Living in a city versus living in a rural area has been a topic of discussion for centuries While some people thrive in the hustle and bustle of urban life, others prefer the tranquility and simplicity of the countryside Although it is possible for human to lead a happy life anywhere, there are still many differences between life in city and life in rural areas, especially in cost of living, environment, and job opportunities
It is apparent that the expense to live in city is much more expensive than that of living in countryside in terms of housing price, cost of medical care and education To own a house or a flat, it costs urban people a fortune that worth many years of working However, in rural area, people can easily have a house, even the really large one, which only cost them third of the price they have to pay for the same area in city Moreover, in city, they have many modern and well-equipped hospitals, as well as more talented doctors, which lead to a higher price of medical care to pay for those better services In contrast, the expense that people in rural area have to pay for medical care is a lot cheaper due to its backward facilities
In terms of environment, life in city and life in country also share little in common With the fast development of technology, more vehicles are produced
as well as more factories are operated in city Therefore, the environment in urban is becoming more polluted by different kinds of exhausted fumes and industrial wastes from those developments On the contrary, rural people are experiencing a better and cleaner environment than their city counterparts Fresher air, purer water source are the most vivid evidences of healthy environment in countryside
Another difference between living in city and living in country is the job opportunities for their residences While people tend to leave countryside due to its decrease in jobs, city is witnessing a climb in the quantity of people moving
to it so as to seek better employment Moreover, there are more companies and factories locating in big cities, which offer a wider variety of employment and higher salaries to people They can consider many options and apply for the jobs that most suited to their abilities and personalities However, in country, the main career is still farming There are fewer choices for them to decide their employment
In conclusion, although living in city are becoming a more favored choice in present time, many people still prefer to live in country No matter what people
