When I think about this specific subject, the first person that springs to me is

my kindly and elderly next-door neighbor, Mr Tam We had been buddies ever since the day he moved into my neighborhood Despite our obvious big age differences, we got along fine when we first met, and I have a lot of respect for him because of the many admirable traits he possesses

The most common misconceptions about elderly men are their propensity for conservatism and traditionalism or their propensity for forgetfulness Mr Tam represents the exact opposite to me, in my opinion He strikes me as being very tech knowledgeable, which is also why we clicked straight away when we first met This is my biggest impression of him In contrast to many people his age who frequently have contempt for anything modern, Mr Tam is not in the least bit technologically illiterate On Facebook, he routinely posts lovely pictures of his

grandchildren, and from what I can tell, he likes to reply on people's remarks on how beautiful and effulgent they are

Another reason I like this man is because of his sentimentality In his early years, Mr Tam served in the military and fought for his country in the Vietnam War He periodically experiences memories of his time spent in the service He once discussed his friends who died in battle, and I remember him getting a little emotional Every time we chat, he urges me and my friends to keep going in life so that his friends' efforts won't be in vain

I consider Mr Tam to be a friend and an inspiration He has earned my admiration for his wisdom, kindness, and several wise words He is a friend, though
