“The Savion” project is a project working on the mental health of university students with

a concentration on loneliness and how to deal with it The main purpose is to lend a sympathetic ear to the people who suffer from loneliness and equip them with knowledge

to cope with it; thereby raising the overall well-being of the community and enhancing the personal skills of the team members After this project, we hope all the team members and the people we have reached out to become much more aware of the loneliness phenomenon and know how to deal with it; and possibly assist even more individuals and groups afterward This report will conclude our project after the working time allotted

2 Introduction:

In ascending from high school to university, individuals might find it challenging to adapt to the many radical changes One major obstruction to this process is the loneliness resulting from various factors According to Nutrition and Physical Activity in Adolescence (NuPhA) survey, a high of 30% students participated felt moderately lonely, such high proportion means that loneliness affects university students adversely We,

“The Savion” Team, know that modern problems need modern solutions and approaches Our project is dedicated to defining the core culprit of this issue and providing support for those in need in a modern way that can approach a wide-range audience

This project will take Facebook as the main platform for most activities to take place The personal information collected is sent via Google forms and videos are conducted in real-life with real attendants The project is promoted via Facebook and other platforms such

as Instagram, Discord, Reddit etc

3 Project purpose:

Clarify loneliness as to then prove it’s no big deal

Provide supports for individuals who suffer from loneliness in the university context (will extend to a bigger scope if feasible)

Diminish the impact of loneliness to the people whom we’ve reached out to

4 Method:

Who: The project will be conducted by our group members, consisting of 5

undergraduate students (Mentioned in the title page)

Whom: The project aims to facilitate and assist university undergraduates suffering from

loneliness

Why: We want to make sure that no one is left behind in this modern society, in which

people can easily express themselves and seek help For that, we create an environment where people feel much more connected, engaged, and confident

Where: The scope we take ranges around the world But physical progress will be made

in Can Tho, Viet Nam More precisely, physical progress will be made within FU Can Tho

When: The project lasts from 27/10 to 22/11/2023 Divided into two intervals (showed in

the timeline tables below)

How: We accumulate answers and stories from the participants and provide support if

needed This will be done via Google Forms and Email

-Lack of time: We had to carry out the project alongside with sitting the final exams -Poor seeding performance: The seeding process wasn’t very good throughout the project

Nevertheless, we have made ways to finish up every requirement in the time allowed

6 Conclusion.

After quite a considerable amount of time working together, The Savion has received several informative stories from our respondents coming from different backgrounds We have assisted the respondents that we considered in need of help via mail by counselling and giving tips and tricks We believe that many of the respondents have become better-informed of the issue and had chances to express themselves and their problems The majority of the stories received helped us to evaluate the big picture of the topic we follow, we in turn further understand the issue through real stories and circumstances instead of just the information given by the Internet Our team members had chances to 5

polish our personal and team-working skills In conclusion, the project was done successfully
