1.1 Introduction

To be able to promote the products of the business closer to the target customers, the use of product advertising is indispensable This is a common form and is applied by most businesses today

Based on the goals, budget and customers that the business has, the business should choose which media is appropriate

So what is advertising? What types of advertising are there? What is the purpose of advertising? To answer these questions, group 3 would like to present the following discussion

2.1.1 What is advertising?

Advertising is a form of propaganda and promotion that businesses will have to pay

to introduce products and services to potential customers

2.1.2 Advertising channels

In order for advertising activities to be Advantage effective, besides choosing the type of advertising, businesses also need to combine appropriate channels Popular channels include: online advertising and offline advertising

 Online advertising

Online advertising (online advertising) is a way to help businesses attract and reach thousands of potential customers every day through the internet Customers can also directly interact with ads, get information and buy products/services through the business's advertising template

Online advertising includes: Advertising on Google Ads Advertising for brands through social networks/wifi Marketing/influencers Advertising via email systems Marketing Advertising via electronic newspapers

 Offline advertising

Unlike online advertising, offline advertising is a traditional form of advertising, conveying messages about products/services to customers through television, radio, magazines, newspapers, banners, which is not based on the internet

2.1.3 Advantages and disadvantages of advertising channels

 Online advertising

Advantage:

- Target the right target customers: It is possible to target countries, geographic regions or based on interests, consumer behavior, to help deliver ads to the right target audience

- Cost savings: Only display ads to customers who need them, not distribute them to those who have no need, helping to save costs effectively

- Can measure effectiveness: Knowing the number of clicks on the ad, the number of product purchases, can track the effectiveness of the ad after 1 week and easily change the appropriate campaign to bring the highest efficiency

- Ability to display ads 24/24: Ads will be displayed 24/7, customers can see your ad anytime, anywhere when they do a related keyword search on Google

- Flexibility: You can change the ad template to suit each campaign, and you can update and cancel it at will

Disadvantages:

- Some customers are also concerned about information security, sometimes making customers feel uncomfortable

- If the advertisement does not attract attention, the unattractive content will make it difficult for customers to interact

- The situation of clicking hackers (virtual clicks) on the business's advertisement still occurs, which costs businesses more

 Offline advertising

Advantage

Easy to create trust, closeness, user-friendliness: Because it is a traditional form of advertising, offline advertising has soon been imprinted in the user's mind, creating trust easily

- Marketers can have direct contact with customers

- Ability to close orders (close sales) faster

Disadvantages

- Targeting general target customers: It is not possible to classify the age, gender, interests, behavior, of the customers that the products/services the business wants to target

- Spending a lot of time interacting with customers: Slow interaction, taking a long time for customers to send letters or call to respond, slower than online advertising that can instantly interact in two ways (via social networks, email marketing, )

- Unable to measure advertising effectiveness: Businesses will not know how many people see the ad, whether the viewers are satisfied or not, so they cannot evaluate the effectiveness or adjust the advertising strategy in a timely manner like the online form

- Slow spread rate: With internet technology, online advertising will be displayed 24/24 and spread at a dizzying speed to users, but with offline advertising, on the contrary, ads appear less and spread extremely slowly

Introduce a brand

For new businesses, brand positioning is the top goal to make customers aware of the existence of the business The advertising campaigns will then be built with positioning goals, the message must contain, the brand name, These factors will profoundly affect the content of the advertisement, determining its ability to leave a lasting impression in the minds of the viewers

Advertising will provide customers with product information This helps customers find the products they want in a convenient way, saving time

Advertisements also let customers know information about promotional campaigns such

as discounts, gifts, after-sales, etc This arouses the need to purchase in the minds of customers

Advertising must work with other marketing tools and business elements to be successful Advertising must be interruptive, that means it should make you stop thumbing through the newspaper or thinking about your day long enough to read or hear the ad Like all effective marketing support, it must be built upon a solid positioning strategy

Advertisements are everywhere You turn on the TV, open up an internet browser, or

the world be without them? Here are 5 reasons why advertising is important for our life:

Many people use marketing and advertising interchangeably Marketing identifies what customers want, encourages them to buy, and engages with them afterward to retain their loyalty To get their attention and let them know you have what they’re looking for, you need advertising Advertising is like the fish hook while marketing is the whole fisherman’s tackle

The objective will guide the design process and ensure that the ad is effective in achieving its intended purpose

Step 2: Define the Target Audience: Understanding the target audience is crucial for creating an effective advertisement Who are you trying to reach? What are their demographics, interests, and preferences? This information will help you tailor the design and messaging of the ad to appeal to your target audience

Step 3: Choose the Right Medium: The medium you choose for your advertisement will have a significant impact on its design Will it be a print ad, a digital ad, a billboard,
