ĐẶT VẤN ĐỀ Sữa mẹ thức ăn lý tưởng tốt cho sức khỏe phát triển trẻ nhỏ Tuy nhiên, lí trẻ khơng thể ăn qua đường miệng hấp thu không đủ chất dinh dưỡng cần thiết qua đường tiêu hóa, buộc phải ni dưỡng qua đường tĩnh mạch [47], [56] Nuôi dưỡng tĩnh mạch (NDTM) hay dinh dưỡng ruột đưa chất dinh dưỡng bao gồm protein, carbonhydrat, lipid, chất điện giải, vitamin yếu tố vi lượng qua đường tĩnh mạch để ni dưỡng thể [20], [40] Nhóm trẻ phải nuôi dưỡng tĩnh mạch phổ biến trẻ sinh non tháng nhẹ cân trẻ sơ sinh đủ tháng bị mắc số bệnh lý nặng nguy kịch bệnh đường tiêu hóa [67], [74] Theo Tổ chức Y tế Thế giới, hàng năm giới có hàng triệu trẻ sơ sinh tử vong chiếm tỉ trọng cao tổng số tử vong trẻ em tuổi Nguyên nhân tử vong thường gặp đẻ non, suy hô hấp bệnh nhiễm trùng [18], [61] Nhiều biện pháp can thiệp tích cực sớm sau sinh giảm 2/3 số ca tử vong trẻ sơ sinh, số cung cấp đầy đủ dinh dưỡng cho trẻ [18], [42] Trên giới, nuôi dưỡng tĩnh mạch áp dụng từ nhiều năm nay, biện pháp nuôi dưỡng định rộng rãi việc hỗ trợ điều trị [41] Năm 1975, C Eleuteri CS nuôi dưỡng trẻ sơ sinh mắc bệnh nặng axit amin glucose qua đường tĩnh mạch thấy trẻ tăng cân tốt xuất viện tình trạng ổn định [27] Cũng năm 1975, P Puri CS nuôi dưỡng tĩnh mạch ngoại vi trẻ từ sơ sinh đến tháng tuổi thấy tất bệnh nhân tăng cân tốt [58] Năm 1979, J W Benner CS ni dưỡng tưỡng tĩnh mạch hồn tồn cho 45 trẻ, thấy 64,4% trẻ tăng cân 18 gam/ngày [46] Tại Mỹ (2009), có 360.000 bệnh nhân ni dưỡng tĩnh mạch bệnh viện, khoảng 33% trẻ em trẻ sơ sinh [22] Tác giả Zoe Lansdowne (năm 2015) nuôi dưỡng tĩnh mạch cho 20 trẻ sơ sinh non tháng
