ESSAY Introduction Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a business model to measure a company’s social compliance, which is accountable to itself, its stakeholders and the public To analyze the relationship between corporate social responsibility and the development of a company the CSR effectiveness assessment is conducted The method used is determining the efficiency of a firm’s funding in addressing social problems, both internally and externally, as regard to its economic security Additionally, other two perspectives may be evaluated: efficiency for the business and its financial stability, as well as the welfare of society The journal article “Expanding the boundaries of the economic security of international companies on the basis of corporate social responsibility practices” by Natalya Ushenko, Viktoriia Blyzniuk, Inesa Shumilo, Natalia Filipenko, Natalia Kurbala focused on developing international companies’ corporate social responsibility practice in order to provide a viable level of economic security Also, it pointed out that the use of the effective CSR assessment can result in lowering the cost of marketing and advertising Developing international companies' corporate social responsibility practices in order to provide sustainable economic security Aims of research The article sets out the principles of corporate social responsibility which provides an opportunity for a company to demonstrate that it is sound and meets international standards and requirements Proper management of CSR is necessary for planning, monitoring and evaluation of business This study examines the relationship between levels of development in economic, environmental and social aspects for companies within sectors such as environment, social work, employment management, relationships with suppliers and other institutions According to the calculations, we can find what each method is based on, the advantages and disadvantages, and to develop a common method of assessment, to assess the effectiveness of a company CSR Methods of research Due to the variety of approaches and types of social investment, the assessment of the effectiveness of CSR is carried out using different methodologies and concepts First, the methodology for building effective social investment and partnerships, which is based on the society and the business itself Dimensions are considered including care, conscientiousness, involvement and success Second, CSR “key indicators method” defines main indicators of four dimensions mentioned above The assessment is based on the number of points Here, each group of indicators is given the same number of base points, regardless of the number of indicators Points will be evaluated due to the importance of the indicator in question For particular areas and types of social investment, additional points may be added Third, the concept of developing competitive advantage Only when the company acts socially responsibly and operates in an economically secure manner can it gain further competition advantage The more competitive advantage gains, the faster the growth and expansion of the company Both the impact on the external environment and a positive correlation between the financial performance and the use of CSR principles are crucial components Scope of research To analyze the effectiveness of CSR, the United States and Europe’s social entrepreneurial development practice have been taken into account To demonstrate the social response in terms of physical indicators will correspond to the amount of expenditure on different programs, an analysis of cost benefits shall be used based on the results obtained The usefulness of research First, the methodology for building effective social investment and partnerships has developed an information map that will allow calculation of the initial data Since social effects cannot always be measured in monetary terms The overall map has been created to be the premise for further research Second, CSR “key indicators method” is based on a score system and indicators are considered under specific direction of the CSR areas This method allows for interconnectedness and private assessment of CSR effectiveness, to ensure objective evaluation of the levels of corporate social responsibility Moreover, it can be compared based on these factors with a view to evaluating company social policies regardless of their size or industry affiliation This method allows for interconnectedness and private assessment of CSR effectiveness, to ensure objective assessments of the levels of corporate social responsibility Third, a method of calculating the level of CSR for a company should be explored, given that corporate Social Responsibility is an integral element of its business policy Addition to quantitative indicators, qualitative assessment can also be used Limitations of research First, by using the methodology for building effective social investment and partnerships, analysis can be performed across economy sectors However, the outcomes are only limited to companies in one area of activity Furthermore, it is not always possible to measure the social impact in monetary terms Second, using the system of indicators of comprehensive evaluation to assess the effectiveness of CSR may need information from the company’s annual and nonfinancial reports However, the data needed may not be provided when analyzing CSR of a single company as an integrated indicator is unavailable Conclusion The findings of the journal article “Expanding the boundaries of the economic security of international companies on the basis of corporate social responsibility practices” concluded that the growth of CSR will allow other economic effects to be derived, not just from resource owner but also from social groups, to ensure economic security Moreover, a wide range of indicators that define both internal and external social responsibility should be used for the evaluation of social programs to maintain the stability of the company In particular, the implementation of CSR needs to be carried out systematically as regards sustainable development It is impossible to this on the basic of case-by-case and must be all-inclusive, consisting of factors which emerge from that concept and are an important component of the Sustainable Development Strategy for Modern Enterprises TURNITIN REPORT
