METHOD STATEMENT FOR ANTI-TERMITE WORK 1.0 PURPOSE The scope of the work is a proper way of Anti-termite Treatment with the use of (Anti-termite Material) on concrete in contact with the soil and on the outer wall to prevent from entering, the steps to be taken in meeting the technical standards and EHS requirements of Van Phong BOT Thermal Power Plant Plant Project/Project: Van Phong BOT Thermal Power Plant Project Company/Owner: Van Phong Power Company Limited (VPCL) Contractor: EPC 2.0 MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT No Description Sprayer machine Remark Spray Nozzle ( used to facilitate the formations of spray in the targeted area) Hand tools 3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES It is overall responsibility of Project Manager to organize resources prior to perform construction activities as per project specification in compliance with the quality, schedule & safety requirements EHS Manager will ensure in coordination with Site Engineer that all measure/construction taken shall be maintained till completion of job It is the responsibility of Construction Manager/Site Engineer that construction activities are executed according to the relevant project specification in compliance with the quality, schedule & safety requirements EPC will ensure that all works are performed safely The relevant EPC Supervisor will ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with this method statement and project specification The QC Inspector will ensure that the work is executed according to the requirements of quality dossier are fulfilled Page | METHOD STATEMENT FOR ANTI-TERMITE WORK 4.0 MATERIAL Anti-Termite material: Lenfos 50EC (Chlorpyrifos 50%) Reference standard: TCVN 7958 5.0 PROCEDURE AND SEQUENCE 5.1 PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES Properly coordinate with the concerned party or main contractor on how the process will be done with regards to application scheduling and area preparation Coordinate and confirmation of people site access And the water source accessibility on site The Method Statement (MS) must be on hand with the QA/QC Engineer before the commencement of the work 5.2 PRECONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES Remove all wooden pieces, concrete debris, plastic strips, tree stump roots, deleterious materials etc The soil shall be leveled and compacted if in case bottom of the blinding before treatment starts All construction related tests shall be approved by the Engineer prior to treatment 5.3 CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES A solution of the Anti-termite material diluted with water at a rate of (10-15ml:1 liter) will be sprayed prior to casting with the application rate of 3-5 liters per square meter The building list for anti termite: CCB Coal handling control/electrical house Switchyard control house for 500kv Laboratory Material storage Electricity and C&I proper safety performance Page | METHOD STATEMENT FOR ANTI-TERMITE WORK 6.0 QUALITY CONTROL The Site Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for this work summarize various characteristics to be checked The concerned Site Engineer/Foreman will be responsible to ensure stage wise compliance for these operations and the Site QA/QC Engineer/Inspector will carry-out quality control checks and report the inspection results 7.0 ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS) 7.1 RESPONSIBILITIES AND INSTRUCTIONS PM/EHS Officer shall ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the specified work scope Safety training should be conducted to all personnel assigned at site prior to commence any work Carry-out daily tool box and safety talks Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shall be worn at all times Good housekeeping shall be observed in work areas Keep non-essential workers clear of machinery whilst it is in operation Construction wastes shall be segregated and disposed to an approved dump yard area Adequate lighting equipment when working night time Periodic refresher trainings, toll box talk and audit shall be conducted 7.2 SAFETY (PPE) All works shall comply with the safety procedure or instruction as set out in project safety plan and municipality rules and regulations Basic Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) shall be worn by all staff or laborers 7.3 ENVIRONMENTAL The work will be carried with full protection to environment Working area shall be clean, not slippery and free from any debris General comment: Before conduct spray the chemical, please check wind direction, that covers all exposed skin 4.2.2 Wash exposed areas thoroughly with soap and water after handling (Refer to MSDS) 4.2.3 Do not wash skin or hands with paint thinner or lacquer thinner, use hand
