Log in Introduction After more than years of cultural and artistic activities being "frozen" due to the COVID-19 epidemic, which also means that beauty contests and models are temporarily suspended Therefore, right from the beginning of the year, when the social distancing regulations were lifted, it was also the time when many beauty contests were deployed to attract contestants Moreover, Decree 144 from the Government does not stipulate that beauty pageant contestants must be female and have natural beauty; unlimited beauty contests, beauty queens, models in a year; as well as allowing Vietnamese citizens to participate in international beauty contests without the need for a license from the Department of Performing Arts It created an open mechanism for beauty contests Roughly counting, there are dozens of competitions held in Vietnam in 2022: Miss Vietnam, Miss Universe Vietnam, Miss World Vietnam, Miss Peace Vietnam, Miss Ethnicities of Vietnam, Miss Ao Dai Vietnam, Miss Sports Vietnam, Miss Vietnam's sea and islands, Miss Peace Vietnam, Miss Vietnam Lady, Miss Environment Vietnam, Miss Global Vietnam, etc The explosion of the beauty contest contributed to helping the entertainment industry get back to life after Covid-19 On social networks, Vietnamese beauty groups thrive, discuss contestants, make predictions such as Miss World, World Press, Venus Beauty Queen, etc with over 100,000 members Posts often attract thousands of "likes", comments, and shares Never before has beauty fans had such an active forum The massive return of beauty contests also entailed a series of overlaps, difficult to distinguish titles and led to a shortage of candidates In addition, an issue pointed out by experts is that beauty contests are being considered entertainment activities This is a very new issue and has not been studied much in Vietnam The social aspect of art is part of the study of the relationship between art This is no longer a matter of art, a beauty factor, but a social issue Understanding the social side of art is sometimes more important than finding expressions of beauty or the meaning of beauty The reason beauty pageants are held in Vietnam continuously nowadays To find out the cause of the rapid increase in domestic beauty contests, we will analyze the causes according to the Law of Supply - Demand Whenever demand is affected it leads to a shortage of various needs that are in demand and whenever supply is affected it leads to a shortage of supply, and beauty contests are also based on this concept, which represents the supply side as the organizations of the contests and the demand side as the viewers 2.1 Supply side Miss pageants are gradually turning into a part of the entertainment industry with huge profits being made for the organizers, sponsors, and contestants According to the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper, a beauty contest in Vietnam has attracted a sponsorship amount of about 11 billion VND In which, the program's diamond sponsor is billion dong, gold sponsors billion dong/unit This amount does not include other small and medium donors Sources of income from advertising money for beauty contests include: ● Advertising for sponsors: Actually, this is how the organizer pays benefits to businesses and brands sponsoring the contest (mentioned above) ● Profitable advertising: TVCs or promotional content can be profitable The time spent on advertising in the Miss Vietnam program is nearly ¼, showing that the commercial value is not small for sponsoring businesses Therefore, Marketers will try to create more and more posts and ads to stimulate you to watch beauty programs, so that the "chicken" can continue to "lay golden eggs" Besides, one of the main incomes of beauty pageants is sponsorship money It is known that the number of sponsors for a beauty contest (depending on the size and popularity) is quite large, up to several dozen Sponsorship categories such as Diamond, Gold, Silver usually range from a few billion to several hundred million dong Why sponsors pour money into beauty pageants? Instead of spending a lot of money to invite celebrities to promote their brands, many businesses and brands have not hesitated to spend sponsorship money on beauty contests During the contest, the beauties also have the task of taking photos, recording PR videos and attaching hashtags to the sponsor's products on their personal accounts After the coronation, Miss and runner continued to accompany brands and businesses in many projects It is easy to see that the organizers of major beauty contests in Vietnam always try to integrate the contestants' contests in the outer ring with sponsors For example, between the contests, there are sharing sessions on beauty, skincare, makeup skills from representatives of small and medium sponsors Or most recently, Miss World Vietnam 2022 held a golf competition for the top 38 beauties even though this subject has nothing to with the skills required of a contestant in the beauty contest The last reason can be said in the Vietnamese market, the beauty contest is the door to easily enter showbiz Miss, the runner-up after being crowned as expensive as the stars, appeared at every entertainment event Especially in the field of fashion, the beauties are also given priority to perform vedettes or to open the show, the audience has seen many times the landing of the beauty queen on the catwalk as a privilege Even small and medium-sized beauty contests not aim to find a representative of Vietnam to compete in international beauty contests The organizers of these playgrounds not care about the quality of the contestants or the winners They only focus on profits after the competition That's why there are consequences such as the coronation girl being rumored to buy an award, a rich couple with a wife, false declaration of education level … Therefore with such terrible profits from so many sources, it makes perfect sense for beauty contests to "explode" in Vietnam in recent times However, it comes with great consequences that we will continue to analyze in the next section 2.2 Demand side ● Change in the way people communicate Social media are the online means of communication, conveyance, collaboration, and cultivation among interconnected and interdependent networks of people, communities, and organizations enhanced by technological capabilities and mobility Currently, 78.1% of the population is active on social networks, equivalent to 76.95 million people, up 6.9% over the same period, according to We Are Social (January 2022) This statistic shows that Vietnamese people spend an average of hours and 28 minutes on social networks In addition, when accessing social networks, users are most interested in news updates 57.1% of both sexes Particularly for sharing and confiding content (female 67.2% and male 55.3%) In the past, when social networks were not yet developed, people mainly shared their views through gatherings People interact with each other by language and transmission is also very limited Now, social networks provide users with synchronous interactions - those that occur in real time and asynchronous interactions - those that don’t require all participants to respond immediately, it has changed the way people communicate People started participating in online communities such as private chats, group chats, social networking groups, and online discussion forums Because it provides more privacy as well as an instant and abundant channel for effective communication, which are features especially appreciated by Generation X In other words, everyday social interactions began to shift to digital environments Today, a compelling topic or simply a photo can attract several million interactions Users love to share their views on issues in society, the development of social networks helps these issues spread more strongly than ever In addition, users have a habit of inserting mass media content into private conversations with friends, making content on mass media have to rely on each individual's sharing to achieve "viral" level These have clearly demonstrated the extreme degree of connectedness of social networks Faced with the change in Vietnamese lifestyle, along with the need to find entertainment news on social networks to share and discuss with everyone, more beauty contests are held and gradually change their way of promoting Instead of just appearing in TV, newspapers or offline activities, today they appear on social networking platforms The beauty pageants own media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and the official website On all these media channels, they update information about the beauty queens such as volunteer activities, the sharing of the beauty queens, viewers' opinions about the beauty queens, etc to attract viewers to comment on the contest In addition, on their Tik Tok account, they post videos about the participation process of the Misses, behind the stage, etc These contents are very close to the viewers, it has helped beauty contests attract thousands of interactions As a result of this, beauty pageants are becoming more and more popular ● Public's point of view of beauty pageants: Beauty pageant are one of the topics of interest to the press and public Contact from the influence of situational buying behavior: because today the number of stores is very large, so when the buyer intends to buy, now will often not come to the store to see the price directly, experience, instead look at many different sources (on social networks, e-commerce platforms) from which they compare them with each other, thus forming the thought that some goods are not really worth the price they claim (maybe cheaper, may also be more expensive) as they suspect about the product This can be related to the fact that more and more beauty pageants are being held these days, of course because of the large number of people, people will compare them back and forth rather than focus on a certain contest They don't care much about the organization and progress of the contest, only monitoring them for comparison purposes.Vietnamese audiences have only known and interested in following foreign beauty contests since the late 1990s and early 2000s, but they can only see the surface of these contests through the way they are organized, the faces of the new contestants Miss and then haphazardly say that the criteria of the contest is like this Most people think that a beauty queen must look gentle, go to events, and have a clean personality And beautiful people who used to be professional models or sharp faces cannot become beauty queens It leads to the purpose of the This is a preview Do you want full access? Log in contests gradually become away from the standard, only organized for good, not quality (partly because of the audience), because the audience sometimes does not have the need to watch, of course they The organization also does not invest much, so it is difficult to make an impact of a contest on the public It is a fact that, in any market, there is always a group of customers whose main purpose when purchasing is experience and satisfaction For example, some people go to the store just to kill time, or spend money, satisfy the feeling of buying, etc Or even, they go to the store just to satisfy the feeling of being paid, bargaining or simply just to rate this item good, bad, beautiful, or not quality These are examples of the time factor that depends on people's behavior Consumer researchers have used multiattribute models for many years, but a major problem plagues them: In many cases, a person’s attitude doesn’t predict behavior In a classic demonstration of “do as I say, not as I do,” many studies report a low correlation between a person’s reported attitude toward something and actual behavior toward it The theory of reasoned action model also measures attitude toward the act of buying, rather than only the attitude toward the product itself In other words, it focuses on the perceived consequences of a purchase Knowing how someone feels about buying or using an object turns out to be more valid than merely knowing the consumer’s evaluation of the object itself This can be related to that, there is a part of the audience watching the beauty contests, not interested in the results and developments of the contest, but only around the controversy and controversy between groups of spectators with the competition each other, arguing about the results, about the organization or about the private lives of some of the contestants, all of which bring them joy In short, they watch beauty pageants just for the sake of "drama" The audiences, at the same time, give less and more attention to the contests Of course, in the end, there is still a bad influence from the audience on the quality of the competition Ending a beauty contest will be the beginning of a new period After that, many people find it annoying Many problems come after a contest, so less and less people are interested in this ● Looking for national representatives to participate in international beauty pageants On December 4, 2021, Vietnamese netizens broke down when Thuy Tien was officially crowned the highest position of the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant For the first time in history, the audience has the opportunity to witness the representative of Vietnam crowned in one of the largest beauty arenas on the planet This is a Nudge to make the audience pay more attention to beauty pageants to find the next person to represent Vietnam in international beauty arenas This attention comes from patriotism Patriotism is the feeling of love, devotion, and sense of attachment to one's country This attachment can be a combination of many different feelings, language relating to one's own homeland, including ethnic, cultural, political or historical aspects In recent years, along with the trend of integration, international economic development, beauty pageants also play a role in introducing the image of the country, widely promoting the cultural potential, tourism potential, historical tradition of the country, as well as the Vietnamese people to the people in the country and international friends This is the reason why many people support Miss Thuy Tien and Miss Thien An Because when the beauty of Vietnamese women shines in the world's playground, it is also a common pride for the whole nation 3 Negative impacts of the increase of beauty pageants in Vietnam 3.1 Beauty contests can reduce self-esteem Beauty contests are competitions that focus on the physical beauty of their contestants and are watched all over the world It sets up the benchmark for beauty in society These contests set unrealistic beauty standards for women and often promote stereotypes Beauty pageants craft inaccurate, even wrongful narratives of what it means to be a beautiful woman Beauty is subjective, we know, but pageants objectify it Tһey demand tһeir contestants to be of a particular age, a particular weigһt and a particular һeigһt Then tһey require "ideal" curves and measurements, not to mention other inconspicuous criteria like һairstyle and skin tones The problem witһ this is “body image” can play a һuge role in self-esteem, and this intense focus on appearance can give off tһe impressive appearance is everything A significant number of women develop low self-esteem, give up loving themselves and so many even become a victim of body shaming tһat also leads to poor mental healtһ just because of these irrational quests to pedestalize a certain body type Now we will dig deep into wһy beauty pageants affect self-esteem: Self-esteem refers to the positivity of a person’s self-concept People witһ low self-esteem expect that tһey will not perform very well, and they will try to avoid embarrassment, failure, or rejection (Solomon et al., 2022) Tһerefore, how beauty contests influence self-esteem? It can be explained by ‘Social Comparison Theory’ which suggests individuals drive to evaluate their progress and in the absence of objective standards, people compare themselves to others to know where they stand Exposure to beauty contests can trigger a process of it, in which the person tries to evaluate her appearance by comparing it to the unachievable beauty standard that these contests set This is a basic human tendency, and many marketers tap into our need for benchmarks when they supply idealized images of beautiful, attractive, successful people who just happen to use their products This can also be linked to the ideal self-concept The ideal self is a person’s conception of how he or she would like to be, whereas the actual self refers to our more realistic appraisal of the qualities we and don’t have (Solomon et al., 2022) Young teen girls also often engage in a process of “impression management” in which they work hard to “manage” what others think of them, they transform their style, and body shape harshly to become a version of the ideal self that is shaped by beauty contests The idea we have to put so much effort into our appearance and actions to be accepted sends the message we are not good enough as is This feeling of not being good enough or acceptable creates the foundation of insecurity and low self-esteem Depression, eating disorders , etc follow with the internalization of deprecating beliefs that will haunt them in adulthood It is especially worrying about the effects of pageant culture and its overarching messages on young girls who may not have the resilience, maturity, or life experience to keep the competition and judging in context According to the results of a recent survey by the Body shaming victim support group in Vietnam: up to 872 out of 1,000 votes confirmed that they were prejudiced by body shaming, leading to a lack of confidence, guilt, and doubts about their self-worth, of which 431 survey participants had university degrees or higher, 168 had to undergo psychological treatment The main cause of these victims is that they are stigmatized because their appearance does not match the ideals of beauty, which are largely shaped by current beauty pageants If these girls are not also being taught loud and clear messages about possessing inherent worth, appreciating diversity, and understanding beauty, strength, and ability come in all shapes and sizes, they are at real risk of facing a lifetime of problems with low selfesteem, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and or want for cosmetic surgery 3.2 It distracts women from bigger priorities They inspire judging a person’s worth primarily based on appearance only, rather than on a person’s character, and they objectify young women These younger women are judged only on the groundwork of physical appearance Judging young women primarily on their appearances takes important character developments out of focus because other qualities, such as intelligence, are not seen as a section of ideal femininity and therefore no longer as things to which girls aspire Young human beings become extremely conscious about outer beauty, when in fact there have to contest that appreciate the inner beauty of women Beauty contests stress the fact that the person who is distinguished and unique is the one who has good physical features So, it distracts women from focusing on improving their education, culture, skills, career and competencies So, I believe that there should be contests where the best thinkers, artists, entrepreneurs are brought together, so it is more comprehensive and where they not only focus on the differences but also embrace them You can never be the best at everything and you have no hand in how beautiful you are 3.3 It negatively affects even the participants of the contest Many people consider beauty contests to be a harmless activity where contestants can boost their confidence However, a sad reality of beauty contests sends the message that women should be appreciated by judges, audiences, and online communities for their appearance and set unrealistic beauty standards At beauty pageants, young girls are faced with the harsh reality of choosing the prettiest, sexiest girl Now many people wonder whether beauty contests have a bad effect on the contestants or those who become Miss after the contest or not? Social judgment theory also assumes that people assimilate new information about attitude objects in light of what they already know or feel The initial attitude acts as a frame of reference, and we categorize new information in terms of this existing standard People tend to perceive messages within their range of acceptance as more relevant to their position than they really are We call this exaggeration an assimilation effect However, we tend to view messages that fall within our rejection range even more difficult to accept than they actually are; we call a contrast effect In other words, audiences are less receptive to ideas that are far from their own, and they tend to oppose even slightly different points of view Beauty pageants create inaccurate, even false, stories about what it means to be a beautiful woman Beauty is subjective, we know, but beauty pageants oppose it They require their contestants to be of a specific age, specific weight, and specific height They then asked for "ideal" curves and measurements, not to mention other more subtle criteria like hairstyle and complexion And when a contestant, Miss is different from the criteria and model of the previous contest, the audience will not accept that and have protest actions The most infuriating thing is that Thien An was also body shaming by the president of the Miss Grand International body contest that "the upper body is longer than the lower body, the hips are big, the body is not beautiful." Beauty contest does not mean accepting foreign judgments Unexpectedly, the head of a beauty contest, which carries a message of peace, calling for an end to war and violence like Miss International Peace, would make such a statement reeking of body shaming demeaning a woman on the international stage so it's okay to say it's unacceptable Negative comments about anyone's body size or shape can great harm to them, potentially leads to low self-esteem, anger, This is a preview Do you want full access? Log in self-harm and even mental health disorders.Miss Miss is a contest to find beautiful people in body and soul, aiming for the values of truth and goodness Therefore, beauty contests must be the convergence of beauty, civilized behavior and mutual respect, not a place of discord, countless groves uncharacteristically messy as what happened after the Miss International Peace 2022 contest Recently, after a number of beauty contests took place, this situation became more noticeable, when many contestants, beauty queens, runner-ups such as Do Thi Ha, Thao Nhi Le, Le Au Ngan Anh, receiving a lot of one-sided criticism from social media users, they become victims of cyberbullying when their appearance does not match their ideal beauty Cyberbullying refers to the “willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices.” In fact, when disparaging other people's appearance, many people based on reasons such as this aesthetic taste or beauty are not up to the standard to make harsh judgments, even bullying actions From there, causing the recipients to be deeply hurt, sometimes it becomes an indelible obsession For example, when H'Hen Niê, a Vietnamese woman from the Rade minority community, won the Miss Universe Vietnam 2018 pageant, she helped break some unrealistic expectations about what is beautiful It is a feat worthy of commendation However, the victory of the 26-year-old Miss is still controversial when many viewers think that H'Hen Niê does not have a look that matches the traditional beauty of a Miss Time after the coronation, many social media accounts have harsh words of disparaging the new Miss Universe H'Hen Niê because of her skin color and Ede ethnic background, which is causing strong reactions in the online community For many beauty contests in Vietnam and East Asian countries in general, the beauty queen is often targeted at a beauty with white skin, long hair, a loving and kind face, not much different from the standard beautiful according to the concept of East Asia However, when H'Hen Niê, a tall, short-haired beauty, with two high fists, crooked teeth, was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, many people were surprised when the standard of beauty changed In an interview, when asked about being hurt when facing negative comments, H'Hen Niê frankly said: "I've been hurt a lot since I won the coronation, not after the coronation, is recent What people say is not true about me or say too much, I personally feel very painful My parents are the ones who love me, always saying small words to me While a stranger speaks, I get hurt There were stressful times when I went to my room to cry, unpacking all my things After meeting my psychologist, they told me to just reveal everything to make myself feel comfortable.” During the course of the contest, there were many people in the contest who were victims of Cyberbullying Even when they are recognized, when they not satisfy the online community, they turn to criticism and say harsh words about their body, their beauty on the forum Like the story of runner-up Kieu Loan asking an inappropriate question to contestant Mai Ngo, the audience mocked the questioner, claiming that she had no knowledge and tried to harm her colleagues In fact, that question was prepared by the contest organizers Not stopping, some members of the online community were extreme, disparaging Kieu Loan's body, repeating her ugly image the day before plastic surgery Not only "pointing the nose" at Kieu Loan, her relatives and family also received countless bad comments on social networks It was thought that only Kieu Loan was the victim of social network violence, but no, Mai Ngo, even in the role of "victim" - in the eyes of the online community, also suffered the wrath of the crowd She was given the title "Miss Human Resources", becoming the object of ridicule all over the forums The contest judges asked inappropriate questions, the audience can completely comment, comment, even ask the organizers and judges to answer However, the attitude of excessive anger, ready to insult and criticize others without grounds is an uncivilized behavior that needs to be condemned before going too far, leaving unfortunate consequences By treating appearance as the most important aspect of competition, beauty contests attract audiences to focus their energies in the wrong places Instead of directing it to intrinsic value, they focused on assessing the beauty of the contestants' physical appearance, undermining the true values of beauty pageants Competitions also devalue women by making them a commodity to be scrutinized, judged and criticized The reception of criticisms of the queen is very different There are brave people, see it as an encouragement for them to improve themselves, but there are also people who are psychologically unstable and will feel distrustful of their work, psychologically affected, and put pressure on themselves 3.4 Organizing many beauty contests also loses the right purpose of the contest In recent years, perhaps no other country in the world has had as many beauty queens and beauties crowned at beauty contests as Vietnam Although the Regulations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism clearly stipulate: "Every year, the national beauty contest is held no more than once"; But in fact, as long as there are sponsors and profits, a certain beauty contest is still held from the region to the city, from the city to the province, from the sea to the mountains, from the region to the mountains, back to the lowlands Where the organizers think of ways to circumvent the law, if they don't compete for "Miss", they change their name to "beauty", "queen",… If you cannot use Vietnamese, you must switch to a foreign language Therefore, in the past years, if you pay attention to follow up, surely the public will not know where to go between the types of beauty contests from "Miss Sports", "Miss Wisdom", to "Beauty of the Time" through photos", "Cherry blossom beauty", This is a preview Do you want full access? Log in "Bright beauty", That's not to mention the beauty contests are few, but the product promotion is more like: "Jewelry Vienam Queen", "Coffee Queen", "Miss Auto" and countless other beauty contests at industry and school level! Many girls participate in the contest to have a bit of fame, prestige, social status to be known and trusted by more people, thereby earning advertising contracts for products That is shown through source attractiveness Source attractiveness refers to the social value recipients attribute to a communicator This value relates to the person’s physical appearance, personality, social status, or similarity to the receiver If in the past, talking about "Miss" was referring to a symbol that has the meaning of summarizing the beauty of beauty, intelligence and soul, now, due to "inflation of Miss", the symbol seems to have lost its true value Because when a contestant can participate in up to three or four beauty contests, the increase in quantity will inevitably lead to a decline in quality, they focus too much on physical beauty and forget about mental soul beauty Our society places a high premium on physical attractiveness We assume that good-looking people are smarter, hipper, and happier than the rest of us This is an example of a halo effect, which occurs when we assume that persons who rank high on one dimension excel on others as well So the fact that Julia Ho, a famous "hot play girl", suddenly became "Miss Global" is not too surprising When "construction - beauty - language - happiness" is set aside so that the money can "take the throne", it is also the time when beauty contests are no longer a place to compete for beauty and talent but become a playground, an easy life-changing opportunity for some girls attracted by the ambition to be famous And of course, when the "halo on the crown" fades, it is also the time when the ugliness and deception are revealed in their original form, causing objections to the fans In recent years, it seems that there is no beauty contest that does not appear famous This is Miss who has not finished grade 12, is dishonest about her education, runner-up in the Miss Vietnam Ethnic Contest, falsely claiming her origin and qualifications I think beauty itself is a precious asset, owning beauty and wanting to be famous is also common sense; but in the name of beauty to gain popularity through deceiving the public, more precisely, deceiving the trust of fans How can it be accepted? As a beauty queen, a symbol of beauty and wisdom, when wearing a crown, it is time to shoulder the responsibility before society Social pressures can also help motivate consumers to engage in socially responsible behaviour While we may hate to admit it, what we think others want us to can overwhelm our own preferences Thus, normative influence can lead to a contradiction between what we say we will and what we actually when the moment of truth comes Just as the contestants thought that being socially responsible was a factor in helping them reach the crown, the audience wanted such a beauty queen Therefore, there are many contestants who have promised to carry out meaningful charity projects after posting to help those in need It is true that the representation requires the beauty queen to be a conscious person through her image and work to help the society become more and more beautiful That is what the public expects, and what the judges - who have the right to decide in the competition need to determine to give the right person responsibility However, what the audience wants is that the beauty queen must sincerely want to contribute to the community, not because the audience wants to so Since then, there have been a number of cases where the beauty queen only existed in the way of "a glorious minute and then suddenly turned off", after being crowned it was no different from before being crowned, and did not contribute anything to the community, and The story "After Miss" that the press mentioned has almost nothing to with the title of Miss! Contrary to the above department, most of the Misses know how to use their names to mobilize sponsors and perform charity activities However, looking at the way that some beauty queens charity work, public opinion often cannot help but complain about the objection Like the other day, a beauty came to the hospital to visit a cancer patient with a crown on her head, flashy lipstick, talking and laughing in the glittering lights from cameras and camcorders These images make it easy for many people to think about the value of charity work, is it true that the beauty queen is less attracted to the media and more polished because of the disadvantaged people? It is a fact that the close relationship "Miss - media - attracting sponsors" is like a "tripod", so whether the image of the beauty queen's charity work is not known When will the end come? The above situation can be considered as a "termite nest" that can rot the meaning and beauty of contests to honor the beauty of Vietnamese women Giving the wrong crown to an unworthy person not only makes the public lose faith in beauty contests but also makes many young girls delusional that they can easily become famous For this to happen, first of all, the responsibility lies with the cultural management agency, the organizer of the beauty contest If the organization rules are tightened, strict and fair, there will be no massive and difficult-to-control appearance of beauty contests If the evaluation of the records of the candidates taking part in the exam is done to the place, it will not "fall into the net '' in the case of fraudulent background and qualifications Then when the profit factor took the throne, the standards of talent and intelligence of the participants were also less focused as the leading factors So many people are not exaggerating when they think that beauty contests today are simply a beauty business! This explains why many beauties as soon as they step out of the competition are welcomed by the "giants'' With the beautiful appearance of the girls, the giants think that these girls participate in the contest to change their lives, approach and "offer" them This is a manifestation of the counterproductive effect of the halo effect, if the observer deduces that someone has exploited their attraction That led to the giants inviting contestants Not to mention the "construction - beauty - language - happiness” girls of the contest, there are girls who can't escape the temptation of money, leading to the appearance of the opposite side of the beauty contest - the trading lines Prostitutes are beauty queens, beauty queens, and models Anyway, only when we really attach importance to management, carefully prepare organizational work, and have strong sanctions to handle violations, then the beauty contests will really promote values and no longer have "land" for those who are unethical and short-sighted who run after the desire to be famous Conclusion There is an opinion that beauty contests should be reduced But in terms of nature, beauty contests are not bad The need for beauty and the enjoyment of beauty is a natural need Around the world, beauty contests are held regularly to meet this need and bring more meaning to honor beauty associated with a number of activities for the community such as charity, environment It is an opportunity to find and honor "beautiful" women: not only beautiful on the outside but also beautiful on the inside, with knowledge and understanding Therefore, beauty contests not deserve to be condemned Each of the top winners from that contest are also faces that will have many community activities and represent Vietnamese women to participate in international beauty arenas In our opinion, the beauty contests are the playgrounds that deserve to be welcomed and cheered for because they help find many beautiful people to represent Vietnam to participate in many international beauty contests The appearance of many beauty contests helps the entertainment market become more vibrant However, with anything much, there will be unexpected problems that occur Specifically, many contests suffered from unnecessary grit in the process of organizing The quality control of contestants and organizational structure is always a good thing to to ensure the prestige of the contest as well as the title of Miss The state needs to tighten regulations on management and on contestants in order to avoid chaos from beauty contests Moreover, this will help the contest take place in its original meaning, avoiding backfire This is a preview Do you want full access?
