aspects of the country Unemployment problem 27 | P a g e Hoa Sen University On February 3, 2020, Huoshenshan Hospital was opened to provide an additional 1,300 beds Due to an extreme shortage of healthcare professionals in Wuhan, thousands of medical staff from all over China came voluntarily to the epicenter to offer their support China’s current Covid-19 situation: Picture 13: Medical staff people and killed 14.612 in the country Hong Kong is currently in the region where the highest number of active cases in China The devastation of Covid – 19 in the big country – China Covid – 19 is considered an invisible killer of the economies of other countries, and so is China China has been completely devastated economically and, what's more, more severely than anticipated given that it was the starting point of this pandemic Specifically, in May this year, the latest data shows that economic activities in China from retail to industrial production fell deeply in April when the blockade orders to control the Covid – 19 pandemic were announced widely in many cities 28 | P a g e Hoa Sen University According to NBS, China’s retail sales in April fell 11% year-on-year, the steepest drop since March 2020 – when the Covid – 19 pandemic began to hit China This decrease is much higher than the 6.1% decrease forecast by economists In April, catering services stopped operating in some shortage of parts and closed or empty showrooms As Covid – 19 measures disrupted supply chains and paralyzed distribution systems, China’s industrial production in April fell 2.9% year-on-year This decline was stronger than expected and the largest decrease since February 2020 In the first four months of the year, fixed-asset investment, the main driver Beijing wants to rely on to prop up the economy as exports falter, grew 6.8% year-on-year However, this growth was still lower than the 75% forecast and slowed down significantly compared with the increase of 9.3% in the first quarter The influence in all aspects of the country Covid – 19 has negatively affected all aspects of this country First, China’s economic growth has dropped markedly: Picture 14: Growth in 2022 shipments from China already expected to slow markedly 29 | P a g e Hoa Sen University In 2019, China’s economic growth was only 6.1% - hitting the lowest level in 29 years (1990 – 2019) Not only that, the unexpected outbreak of the pandemic Covid – 19 has added a strong blow to the country’s economy, causing China’s GDP growth to a record low, estimated to be only about 4% of GDP (Quarter – 2020) (airlines and tour operators) Even China’s economy entered a state of hibernation The total damage to China’s economy was about 1,380 billion yuan (equivalent to 196 billion USD) in January and February 2020 because all three growth drivers of consumption, investment, and exports declined Second, industrial output fell sharply: Picture 15: Chinese industrial output All production activities in China stopped in February 2020 Manufacturing activity fell at an unprecedented rate, even worse than during the 2008 global financial crisis According to NBS, China’s industrial output fell by 15.7%, while investment fell by up to 31.5% (February 2020) – this is the steepest decline in industrial output in 30 years (1990 – 2020) Fixed asset investment also fell 24.5%, compared with the 2% realize that although Viet Nam is a developing country, our country has many challenges that need to solve Besides that, society increases every day It makes our life more and more confident Moreover, depending on the notion of Macroeconomics, the moral lessons that we have to learn are significant Firstly, nobody is perfect, and we just try to be better Secondly, new situations born make all old situations ban Hence the new situations are more modern, meaningful, and helpful than the old situations Thirdly, unemployment and inflation are the same as love Love is a dagger, you can see yourself in it It is beautiful until it makes you bleed Because each business has budget limits, we have to trade off to have the final excellent result Finally, never give up Today is hard Tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine 39 | P a g e Hoa Sen University REFERENCES Bộ Giáo dục Đào tạo (Eds.)
