ftor,k/ 1,5 ≥ Rtor,k Five specimens in the radial grain direction and in the tangential grain direction of the screw sample BS EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 (E) Marking 8.1 General The marking on the packaging of the fasteners type shall as a minimum give the following information:  identification of the manufacturer,  number of this standard,  type of fastener (with reference to the headings in this standard, e.g nail, staple, screw, dowel or bolt),  nominal fastener diameter d, and length l (in mm),  grade of the parent material or thickness of the corrosion protection against, if relevant (see Annex A) Additional marking requirements for each fastener type are given in Subclauses 8.2 to 8.6 NOTE Where ZA.3 covers the same information as this clause, the requirements of this clause are met 8.2 Nails The following additional information for nails on mechnical strength and stiffness characteristics shall be given:  characteristic yield moment, My,k (in Nmm),  characteristic withdrawal parameter, fax,k (in N/mm ) together with the characteristic density ρk (in kg/m ) of the timber used, or the type of wood based product used,  characteristic head pull-through parameter, fhead,k (in N/mm ) together with the characteristic density ρk (in kg/m ) of the timber used, or the type of wood based product used,  characteristic tensile capacity, ftens,k (in kN), !  head cross-sectional area Ah;  for threaded nails:   length of threaded part, lg;  length of point, lp; for nails coated with a type coating:  length of coated part." 8.3 Staples The following additional information for staples on mechnical strength and stiffness characteristics shall be given:  characteristic yield moment, My,k (in Nmm), 33 BS EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 (E)  characteristic withdrawal parameter, fax,k (in N/mm ) together with the characteristic density ρk (in kg/m ) of the timber used, or the type of wood based product used,  characteristic head pull-through parameter, fhead,k (in N/mm ) together with the characteristic density ρk (in kg/m ) of the timber used, or the type of wood based product used, !  for staples coated with a adhesive coating:  length of coated part." 8.4 Screws The following additional information for screws on mechanical strength and stiffness characteristics shall be given:  characteristic yield moment, My,k (in Nmm),  characteristic withdrawal parameter, fax,k (in N/mm ) together with the characteristic density ρk (in kg/m ) of the timber used, or the type of timber product used,  characteristic head pull-through parameter, fhead,k (in N/mm ) together with the characteristic density ρk (in kg/m ) of the timber used, or the type of wood based product used,  characteristic tensile capacity, ftens,k (in kN);  !head diameter dh;  inner threaded diameter d1;  threaded length lg."
