Part 1: Steel flanqes c IS0 7005-2, Metallic #7anges - Part 2: Cast iron flanges IS0 7005-3, Metallic flanges flanges - Part 3: Copper alloy and composite It is divided into sections, according to the form of gasket, as follows: Section 1: General Section 2: Non-metallic flat gaskets Section 3: Spiral wound gaskets Section 4: Metallic ring-joint Section 5: Non-metallic Section 6: Corrugated, gaskets gaskets envelope gaskets flat or grooved metallic and filled metallic The materials for gaskets are outside the scope of this International Standard but section lists the various forms of gaskets and the ranges of materials used for some gasket forms, and section gives hardness values of typical ring-joint gasket materials The selection of the gasket type, its material and thickness (as applicable) should take account of the operating conditions, the properties of the gasket material, the type of flange facing, the surface finish of the flange and the flange bolt loading Therefore, it is recommended that the selection of gaskets for any particular application is made in consultation with the gasket supplier Annex A lists for information the type of flange faces for which gaskets are specified in this International Standard and annex B gives information to be supplied by the purchaser when ordering gaskets This page intentionally left blank -
