Teacher’s Notes Activity This is an activity where students make a floor plan of the class and learn each other’s names It can be done individually or in pairs Preparation Make a copy of the worksheet for every student in the class What to Distribute the worksheet to the students Ask them to draw a floor plan of the class, making little squares or boxes for each desk or chair The boxes should be big enough to write names in Ask the students to call out their names one by one As this is happening, the whole group should be writing the names in their floor plans If a student has a difficult or unusual name, ask them to spell it (in English) for the class It is a good idea to revise the vocabulary for this – and other helpful expressions such as asking someone to repeat or speak more slowly – at the beginning of the activity Ask the students to spend two to three minutes studying their floor plans They should try and memorise the names of the other students in the class Do the same yourself!
