together with their development impacts on the society The social media’s impacts identified in this article are gaining social media knowledge, improving behavior of using social networks, finding jobs, the benefits of social media and its harms., and enhancing social media which governs this whole society Keywords: Social Media, Society, Generation, Positive, Negative, Trends Introduction The use of social networks has been rapidly increasing among different generations, and this trend is likely to continue in the future In recent years, there has been a significant shift in how people interact with one another online and how they access information, news, and entertainment As technology continues to evolve, the way younger and older generations use social media is likely to change Younger generations, such as Millennials and Generation Z, are more likely to spend more time on social networks than older generations, as they are more comfortable and familiar with the technology This is likely to continue into the future, as children today are growing up with social media as a part of their lives They are more likely to use it more regularly and to use it to stay connected with family, friends, and even their favorite celebrities On the other hand, older generations are more likely to use social networks for different purposes They may use it to stay connected with family and friends, as well as to research topics of interest However, they are likely to spend less time on social networks than younger generations, as they are less likely to be as familiar with the technology and less likely to be as comfortable using it Overall, the use of social networks amongst different generations is likely to continue to increase in the future As technology continues to evolve, how younger and older generations use social media will likely differ, but the overall trend of increased usage is likely to remain Social media has become an integral part of our lives over the past decade The proliferation of platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram has enabled people to connect and communicate with each other across the globe, as well as share and consume content This has given rise to a variety of social media trends, both positive and negative Positive social media trends include the rise of online communities, with people connecting with each other to share ideas and experiences There has also been a surge in the use of social media to provide support for causes and charities, and to spread awareness about important issues Negative trends include the spread of false information and fake news, cyberbullying, trolling, and the spread of harmful content in the form of images or videos There has also been a rise in the use of social media for activities such as sexting and cyber stalking, which have had serious consequences in some cases Today, there are many people doing research about the trend of social media but not much of them making any predication about the future trend of social media That raise the question in me and this research papers we will dicuss about the future trend of social media Methodology To create a trustworthy and legitimate foundation for relying on the highlighted trends on social media, secondary data from research journal articles, newspapers, websites, university publications, government, and international statistics have been gathered Several publications have successfully employed secondary data analysis based on published data to save time, money, and even to make the data credible Furthermore, if the original data are accessible in an archive, secondary data analysis can also be relied on them Several restricted findings will be provided in this study in a collective manner for a better understanding because several primary studies have been undertaken that focus on a specific element Problem Statement Social media has drastically altered the way we live our lives From the way we get our news to the way we communicate with our loved ones, it is a pervasive presence that is here to stay Since its inception in 2004, social media use has been growing exponentially, becoming a major source of information, entertainment, and communication On the other hand, its excessive use has been linked to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts The platform can also drive feelings of inadequacy, FOMO, and isolation, as well as fuel cyberbullying and self-centeredness Going forward, it is important to recognize both the positive and negative effects of social media in order to find solutions to its negative aspects and promote its beneficial ones We must also consider the different uses of the medium across generations to better understand its true impact on our lives Relevance and Importance of the Research The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems that social media causes in different generations and to determine the origin of these issues Additionally, this study will analyze how different generations use social media and address potential future trends in social media use between generations By exploring and analysing the results of this research, it is hoped that it will help to uncover the core of the negative aspects of social media, as well as to enhance the positive aspects of social media usage by generations Moreover, this research will attempt to answer the question of whether these problems are persistent or if new ones may emerge as a result of social media use Understanding these issues is essential to developing effective solutions and is one of the most interesting aspects of this project Literature review Nowadays, it is undeniable that social media has become an indispensable part in managing personal, social, political, and official aspects of our lives It helped people more easier to communicate with other from different parts of the world, making our lives more convenient than ever before Social media is a advanced innovation of the 4.0 era that allows the sharing of ideas, information, opinions, and thoughts These interactive applications are based on web 2.0 internet technology According to statistics, there are over 800 social media platforms being used, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, WeChat, Google+, LinkedIn, Viber, VK, Pinterest and more The total number of registered social media users worldwide is estimated to be 2.80 billion Facebook is the most popular platform with 2.23 billion active users in a month, followed by YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram 2.1 How different generation using social media In today's world, many generations use social media, however the way in which they use it can differ drastically For example, the Millennial Generation (born 1981-1996) is more likely to use social media for direct communication, such as texting, messaging and direct messaging On the other hand, the Baby Boomer Generation (born 1946-1964) is more likely to use social media for indirect communication, such as posting updates and commenting on other people's posts The different generations also have different attitudes towards social media Millennials are more likely to be open and willing to share personal information than Baby Boomers, who tend to be more private Millennials are also more likely to use social media to connect with others, while Baby Boomers may view it as a form of entertainment Finally, the different generations may have different expectations when it comes to social media Millennials may expect to be able to access their favorite services on the go, while Baby Boomers may expect a more traditional and simplified social media experience In conclusion, while all generations use social media to some degree, there are many differences in how they use it and what they expect from it Understanding these differences can help businesses create more tailored experiences that appeal to different generations 2.1.2 How Gen Z using social media Gen Z is the most socially-savvy generation, with 66% stating that social media is an important part of their lives They use social media primarily to kill time, which sets them apart from other generations who use it to connect with friends and family In addition, 65% of Gen Z consumers have increased their use of social media in the last year, and 45% expect this trend to continue in the next three years This generation has a huge impact on the social media landscape, and businesses should take note of the unique way they use the platform 2.1.3 How Millennials using social media Seventy-two percent of Millennials state that social media is an important part of their life They use it to stay connected with family and friends, to kill time, to learn about new trends, and to stay up-todate with breaking news Sixty-three percent have increased their usage over the communicate with family, friends and acquaintances  51% use social to kill time  47% use social to learn about new trends  43% use social to get breaking news 2.2 The dominance of TikTok and Instagram The popularity of apps like TikTok and Instagram has changed the landscape of social media in many ways TikTok, in particular, has shifted the focus to short-form content, with users creating and consuming clips that are 15 seconds or fewer This has encouraged more creativity and experimentation, allowing users to show off their skills in a variety of categories On the other hand, Instagram has become a powerful marketing tool, allowing businesses to reach potential customers, build relationships, and increase brand awareness Additionally, thanks to the types of analytics that Instagram provides, businesses can track their posts, stories, and ads to better understand how their content is performing In summation, TikTok and Instagram have allowed users to express themselves in creative ways, while businesses have a powerful marketing tool at their disposal The rise of TikTok and Instagram as social media platforms has had a major impact on modern day society It has given people the power to engage with each other in new and innovative ways, from creating viral trends to connecting with others from around the world Furthermore, it has enabled users to express their creativity, share ideas, and make their mark on the world In the past year, TikTok and Instagram have become two of the most popular social networks, with millions of users taking part in the conversation They have become a go-to source for news, entertainment, and influencer marketing Companies are now using these platforms to reach out to potential customers, collaborate with influencers, and even launch their own campaigns The impact of these networks has been felt in almost every area of society, from politics to education Politicians now have an easier way to reach their target audience, while students can use these networks to network with professionals and gain a better understanding of the world Tiktok is testing a new feature identifying key words in results for tiktok 2.3 —Olivia Deng(@olivia_deng_) August 5, 2022 AR Will Become More Mainstream A technique called augmented reality (AR) projects computergenerated visuals or text over the physical world Fair enough, augmented reality (AR) has the potential to completely change how we interact with the world around us, particularly in industries like entertainment, healthcare, and education AR can generate dynamic and interesting learning experiences in other fields, including education, which helps pupils comprehend difficult ideas It may also be utilized in the healthcare industry to help surgeons during operations or to instruct medical students AR can produce immersive entertainment experiences that let users engage with virtual worlds in actual environments The potential for augmented reality is enormous and exciting given the rise of mobile devices and the expanding use of augmented reality technology “AR being augmented reality and VR being Virtual Reality millions of people have already used AR every day for years and may have not even realized it If you've used Snapchat filters and Instagram filters that project things in the photo or video or make things look like they're really there, you've used AR But the applications of AR on social media are not limited just to photo filters to post fun posts and stories brands can also leverage augmented reality to provide better shopping experiences to their customers If you're an e-commerce store, you know one of the cons to not wanting it brick and mortar is people's inability to try stuff on but AR is a tool that can allow your customers to digitally try things on before buying this conquering that objection to purchase.” (JAMES URQUHART, Social Media Marketer and Managing Director at Let’s Run Social.) 2.4 Personalized Content Will Become the Norm Personalized content has grown more and more used to tailored content in recent years With the development of big data and artificial intelligence (AI), businesses are now able to gather enormous quantities of data about their clients and use it to develop content that is suited to each client's unique interests When tailored content becomes the standard, this tendency is only expected to persist in the future Personalized content demand for tailored content is one of the key factors driving its increased prevalence Consumers now anticipate the same amount of personalization from other firms since they are accustomed to receiving tailored suggestions from services like Netflix and Amazon Studies have actually demonstrated that since customers perceive their wants and preferences to be being addressed, tailored content may boost engagement and loyalty The fact that it is becoming simpler to develop tailored information is another reason why it is becoming more widespread Companies are now able to analyze enormous quantities of data and provide content that is customized for each individual user thanks to AI algorithms Now that small companies have access to the necessary tools and information, they can provide customized content Lastly, in a world where there is so much noise and competition for attention, tailored content is becoming more crucial Companies can break through the noise and offer messages that are more relevant and engaging by developing content that is personalized to each individual user As a result, customized content will probably start to prevail in the future as businesses try to differentiate themselves in a competitive market With this much data, personalized content will become the norm." "People will be able to get the content they want, at the time they want, from the people and brands they want, perhaps even on their projector watch or contact lens.” (OTIS KIMZEY, Social Media Strategist) 2.5 Personal predications about the social media trend Because of social media, words are moving around the world within weeks and months, whereas before, it could take a few years, says Julie Coleman, author of The Life of Slang "It's not necessarily that language is changing more quickly, but technologies have developed and they allow the transmission of slang terms to pass from one group to another much more quickly." In Vietnam, the history of internet slang represents what is trendy at the time the slang is trending In the 90s, Gen Y generation usually say the term such as: dan to, hip-hop, … Most of those slangs were developed back in time by the impastation of era In the 2000, when the Gen Y become a Gen Z the internet slang of today generation is still the same topic category with other generations but the variation between slang is the difference between different generations It goes back to my initial conclusion that the change in internet usage behavior is due to the influence of time and location on different generations So, to be able to understand the trend of using social networks in the future, we need to write how the future society will be? In my opinion, nowadays social networking sites survive by stealing users' information In a world where people are increasingly improving their human rights and individual rights, this action will anger public opinion as well as when just one event will make the last drop of water, everyone people will turn away from social networking sites However, social networks play a large role in the development of communication, so its benefits to the general economy of the world cannot be denied So, removing it from a key economy would have serious consequences that are hard to fill If in the future, everyone has a surplus of assets, perhaps social networking sites will no longer be interesting According to my research, most people go online to brag about their wealth which can be physical or spiritual That is why, when living in an advanced society, where wealth is abundant, everyone will be the same to some extent and then we will not need the economic benefits that social networks bring Conclusion This research paper explores the future trends of social media, also different social media trend in the society It delves into previous research and presents a case study, ultimately providing suggestions for resolving negative effects Despite some drawbacks, social media can be predictable for some people The article proposes specific recommendations for another aspect of the predications made by professional researchers also by the creator of this research paper Overall, the author believes social media can change the world day by day by its unbelievable impact References
