Because when you plan, you will define your longterm goals Then list small milestones to complete it For example, a 5-year plan is a long period If you not plan, you will be easily discouraged, confused, and not know how to arrange work to gradually set the set goal 3.6 Some scientific methods of time management: Matrix Eisenhower: According to this matrix, a time management framework is established based on the priority of the tasks There will be criteria to arrange the work order: Urgency and importance Based on the nature of the jobs outlined above, jobs will be divided into categories: - Urgent and Important (Need to immediately) - Important but not urgent (Need to plan carefully and execute later) 12 - Urgent but not important (Should be handed over to someone else if possible) - Neither urgent nor important (These are removed quests) Rules of work Pareto (80/20): The 80/20 rule is quite simple to understand, specifically according to this economist: About 80% of the effects are usually due to 20% of the causes So, to be able to bring 80% of good work results, we should learn to apply time management skills and focus on 20% effort To put it more simply, you need to choose for yourself the most important tasks and affect the remaining items, instead of delaying them or focusing on the tasks that not bring many results 4D: Do – Delete – Delegate – Defer: The 4D method another name for the D's of productivity is one of the simplest and quite popular time management methods for you to determine the importance and amount of time it takes to be important into a particular job This is a method to help you make a quick decision whether to “do it now” (DO), or delegate to another person (Delegate) For tasks that have not been assessed as too important, you can choose to delay (Defer) or you can even remove it (Delete) from your to-do list for the day to save money, and maximize your time 13 Theory of "salt pickle jar" (Pickle Jar Theory): Based on the idea from the pickle jar, this is considered your working day In this pickle jar, there will be several representative objects to fill it with such as grains of sand, pebbles, rocks, and water to fill the jar You'll need to put them in a logical order so you can prioritize your tasks and plan your time The order to arrange the objects in the jar by weight is: - The Stone: The Most Important Tasks of the Day (To Do First) - The Pebble: Less Important Tasks - Grain of sand: Small, miscellaneous things - Water: This is the time you spend in your private life – your family and friends 14 CONCLUSION It is an obvious reality that humans have always sought a purpose for their life from time immemorial Some people choose to help others as a goal People, on the other hand, feel that increasing time management skills is a key goal in life I agree with the latter group for two primary reasons, which I will explain in more detail in the following paragraphs The first argument is that by developing time management skills, one may save a considerable amount of time and use it for practical and beneficial activities such as physical and charitable activities In these circumstances, people must manage their time every day and make the most use of it to arrange their duties, whether in their school or their work As a result, having the capacity to manage one’s time is extremely useful to one’s success in doing their tasks Indeed, in this situation, individuals not only have more free time to exercise and become in shape, but they also spend more time assisting others Another reason is that it is necessary to manage time properly to be successful and affluent in life, as well as to conduct charitable work When people set aside enough time for each aspect of their work, they can focus more efficiently and the road to the goal becomes more vivid;
