Summit County Certified Local Government Board Members Margaret Olson – molson@summitcounty.org Margaret Olson’s grandfather’s grandfather’s father was the discoverer of silver ore in the Park City Mountains He held the original land patent for the quarter section at the base of Thaynes Canyon in Summit County, Utah and ran the stage and pony express station at nearby Mountain Dell Margaret holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Utah and was raised by a PhD History Professor and writer Margaret is currently writing an historical fiction book set in this region in the 1850s Margaret currently serves as the elected Summit County Attorney and a member of the Utah Board of State History Pat Putt – pputt@summitcounty.org Patrick Putt is a 27-year resident of Summit County He is the current Community Development Director for Summit County and the former Zoning Administrator/Planning Director for Park City Municipal Corporation (1995-2008) Patrick is also an Auxiliary Instructor for the University of Utah’s Department of City & Metropolitan Planning He has overseen historic preservation programs (including but not limited to reconnaissance-level survey and historic building inventory development; historic district design guideline development; and historic district design review administration in Arizona, Colorado, and Utah Patrick holds a BA in Applied Geography (Land Use Planning Emphasis) and an MA in History (Historic Preservation/Cultural Resource Planning Emphasis) from Northern Arizona University His graduate thesis is a Cultural Resource Management Overview of the South Kaibab National Forest (Arizona) Portions of the thesis were published by the USDA Forest Service, Southwest Region, Report No 10, People and Places of the Old Kaibab (September 1990) Derek Siddoway – dsiddoway@summitcounty.org Derek Siddoway is fourth-generation resident of Rockport, where his family has owned and operated a small farm and ranch for over 100 years A North Summit High School and University of Utah graduate, he was hired as Summit County’s first Director of Communication and Public Engagement in 2020 He is passionate about preserving and sharing Summit County’s history, heritage and culture with residents and visitors Jocelyn Scudder – jocelyn@pcsarts.org Jocelyn is the Executive Director of the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County and has been with the nonprofit organization since 2017 Before joining the Arts Council, Jocelyn managed the Kimball Art Center’s Education Department for years She has worked in the Arts & Culture sector for 18 years, starting out working in fine art galleries and printshops in Connecticut and New York City Jocelyn is a strong creative professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Fine and Studio Arts from St Lawrence University She is a vocal advocate for arts and culture and is passionate about building connections and supporting creatives and organizations who contribute to our Summit County community Originally from the East Coast, she enjoys creating and collecting art, skiing, playing tennis, getting out on the trails, and traveling Jocelyn lives in Park City, UT Dalton Gackle - dalton@parkcityhistory.org Dalton Gackle is the Research, Digital services, and Social Media Coordinator at the Park City Museum (Park City, UT) An American West and Pop Culture historian by way of the Midwest, Dalton manages the Park City Museum’s Hal Compton Research Library He is responsible for all research, historic photograph orders, oral histories, and the Museum's weekly Way We Were articles and social media He is also an archivist, processing and digitizing the Museum's manuscript and visual collections to make them available to patrons and researchers He is part of the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History, a preservation group in Park City He has lived in Summit County for over two and a half years ... galleries and printshops in Connecticut and New York City Jocelyn is a strong creative professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Fine and Studio Arts from St Lawrence University She is... manuscript and visual collections to make them available to patrons and researchers He is part of the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History, a preservation group in Park City He has lived in Summit...
