ACKNOWLEDGMENTS What I have studied from school and university is probably not enough to cover every aspect I need to prepare for my future work That is why I am very grateful that National Economic University have put up the first intern period, giving me a chance to experience the real workplace, thus ensuring what I have studied in the university During the two months I had my internship in Aviva Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited – Head office, I had a chance to observe how a world-top insurance company operates Two months might seem quite short for an internship However, for me that is just enough to learn about the company, thanks to the enthusiastic employees of the Finance & Accounting Department In this report, Aviva Vietnam Life Insurance Company’s background, basic information and company structures will be present The report also goes into Aviva’s recent basic financial ratios, thus giving an overall view of how the company is currently doing during the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, as well as giving the company some solutions to overcome current financial issues However, due to the short duration of the internship, and my limitation of experience, the report might not perfectly describe how wonderful an insurance company Aviva is I would like to have my thanks for my supportive supervisor, Associate Prof Doctor Bui Huy Nhuong for helping me completing the internship report I would also like to say thank to my mentor at Aviva Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited, Mrs Nguyen Thi Hoan for the help of getting me information to complete the intern report Hanoi, May 2022
