MICDS Parents Association September 13 – September 19, 2019 UPPER SCHOOL CLASS NEWS SCHOOL-WIDE EVENTS AND INFORMATION: Remember to please refer to the Divisional and All-School Announcements sections of the Weekly News email for schoolwide and Upper School division events and information DEWEY SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Looking for a meaningful way to get involved in the St Louis community? Volunteer as a Tutor at Dewey School! MICDS has partnered with Dewey International Studies Elementary School in the HiPointe neighborhood Join other MICDS parents and make a difference in the lives of Dewey students You can pick a day of the week and a time that work for you! It is a one-hour weekly commitment (or you can share with a partner, but one of you must go every week) We tutor, but we also mentor these children who often lack consistent adults in their lives If you are looking for a way to give back to the St Louis community, this is it! No prior experience necessary! Attend the kick-off meeting on Friday, September 20 from 8:00-8:30 a.m in the Middle School Alumnae Room to learn more and hear from current tutors If you are ready to commit, stay for the training session from 8:30-9:30 a.m.! SENIOR CHILL DAY: December We are looking for volunteers Thank you to Emily Huber who agreed to spearhead the day and to Susan Goldberg for being the first one to sign up!
