Nancy Resnick Campus Chief Human Resources Officer Nancy Resnick joined the UC San Diego executive leadership team in August of 2018 as the Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the Vice Chancellor & Chief Financial Officer's senior management team and the Chancellor's Cabinet Nancy has over thirty years of progressive leadership, management and legal experience Before coming to UC San Diego, Nancy served as the Associate Vice President for the University of Oregon for three years, where her primary focus was on intentionally changing the culture of a newly-defined Human Resources organization from a transactional to a strategic organization She also served as the Associate Director of Human Resources at the California State University, Humboldt State University for over six years In addition, Nancy practiced employment law in the private and public sector for over 20 years at organizations including the U.S Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor General, AAA and American Protective Services Nancy received her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara and her Juris Doctorate from UC Hastings College of Law She is a member of the American Research Universities Human Resource Institute (ARU-HRI), National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPAHR), and Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM)
