My name is Yessenia Marroquin Salas I am currently enrolled at Stockton University I am in my third year as a Biology major I am interested in multiple aspects of biology, including medicine and environmental science I believe that these two topics complement each other In a previous course I had to pick a topic within the realm of biology, and I decided to further educate myself on if solar radiation could eliminate pathogens in drinking water This topic stemmed from an interest in regard to pathogens and bodies of water I think this is an important field of work that should be studied, since it impacts us as a society directly I am interested in the water quality team project I think I would be a good addition to the team because I am patient, diligent and cooperative I am a fast learner and am able to apply previous knowledge to better understand a topic I have taken previous concepts and techniques that I have gathered through the labs at Stockton in a few of my courses I will also additional research to better prepare me in my fieldwork I am very diligent in my work I believe it is very important in the field to be as precise as you possibly can so there is minimal error in the field This allows for all the data to be concise I cooperate well with others and think team collaboration is very important It is nice to talk to other people about ideas and come up with a solution together
