Robyn E Lebron empirical data from repeatable experiments are considered to be the only way to a definite conclusion Thus, the unseeable ultimate reality became an unscientific fantasy of mere faith at that time, because the technology of the day had not achieved the irrefutable evidence we have now Life by Scientific Understanding Facts we perceive shape the way we live The perception of everything being separate and unconnected leads to individual and unconnected living In the past, science rejected everything that was not perceptible with the senses, which limited our understanding of the common thread that connects us all We have become disconnected from one another and disconnected from the environment Lacking a deep understanding, science tends to make life materialistic; a life in which we trust only the material reality observed with our senses as the only truth Everything is labeled and categorized Being defined as this or that, we are divided What is not sense-perceptible is either rejected outright or considered to be of secondary value Scientific endeavor, though, is a serious search for the truth It blossomed during the Renaissance period, during the absence of any solid spiritual understanding Many scientists at that time were agnostic or atheist (although there are some notable scientists who developed an understanding of something greater, such as Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton) (1) Science began with a rejection of all articles accepted on faith – rejection not on principles but purely based on lack of “evidence.” Although the ability to perceive evidence was crucial when science was in its infancy, science eventually hit the glass ceiling imposed by sense perception
