NJ—The College of New Jersey’s sophomore Zoe Chan (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) and Montclair State University senior Madison Franke (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) have been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Co-Swimmers of the Year for the 2019-20 season Their selections highlighted the 44-member NJAC women’s swimming & diving all-conference team which was announced on March 31 All NJAC special awards were determined by a vote of the league’s six head coaches, while the NJAC all-conference honors were based on performances during the Metropolitan Conference Championships which were conducted at Rutgers University on February 2123 A seven-time NJAC Swimmer of the Week selection during the 2019-20 season, Chan was an NCAA national qualifier in the 100 butterfly after claiming the Met Conference title in the same event (56.14) She also claimed Met titles in both the 200 butterfly (2:05.91), and the 200 individual medley (2:07.48), while also competing as a member of the Lions’ Met Champion 400 freestyle relay TCNJ’s program record-holder in both the 100 butterfly and the 200 butterfly events, Chan finished with NJAC conference-best times in the 100 fly, the 200 fly, and the 200 individual medley A two-time NJAC Swimmer of the Week selection, Franke claimed Met Conference titles in the 50 freestyle (23.90), the 100 freestyle (52.30), and the 200 freestyle (1:54.66) events The MSU school record-holder in both the 50 free and the 200 free, Franke was named the 2020 Met Conference Female Swimmer of the Meet while finishing the season with NJAC conference-best times in the 50 freestyle, the 100 freestyle, and the 200 freestyle events Rowan University senior Corinne Finkbinder (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) was selected as the NJAC Diver of the Year An eight-time NJAC Diver of the Week honoree during her senior season, Finkbinder was named the Met Conference Diver of the Meet after claiming Met titles in both the onemeter (446.64) and the three-meter (440.43) competitions A 16-time NJAC Diver of the Week honoree over the course of her four-year career, Finkbinder also placed 15 th in the one-meter diving competition at the 2020 NCAA Northeast/South Diving Regional Rowan freshman Jordan McChesney (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) was selected as the NJAC Rookie of the Year A seven-time NJAC Rookie of the Week honoree during her first collegiate season, she finished as the Met Conference runner-up in the 100 freestyle (52.58) The Met third-place finisher in the 50 freestyle (24.24), McChesney was also a member of Rowan’s NJAC Champion 200 freestyle, 200 medley, and 400 medley relays Rowan University head coach Elise Blaschke was selected as the NJAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year by her peers In her rookie season of 2019-20, she guided the Profs to a 7-3 overall record and the NJAC championship via a perfect 5-0 mark in league competition Blaschke was also named the Met Conference Coach of the Meet
