3rd Conference of the ADERSE* October 18 and 19, 2005 Lyon, France Conference of the Association for the Promotion of Research and Education on Corporate Social Responsibility Conference organized in partnership with the ISEOR and the « Social Issues in Management » Division of the Academy of Management (USA) The ADERSE was created in 2002 with the mission of promoting research and education on the theme “corporate social responsibility” The 1st ADERSE Conference was held in 2003 in Paris; the nd conference was organized in 2004 in Toulouse The 3rd ADERSE Conference will take place on October 18th and 19th 2005 in Lyon (ISEOR and University Jean Moulin Lyon 3) The purpose of this conference is to facilitate a constructive dialogue between educators and researchers working notably in Europe and in America on social responsibility issues The conference is organized in partnership with the ISEOR and the “Social Issues in Management” Division of the Academy of Management This conference will be welcoming submissions in three languages: English, French and Spanish The plenary sessions will be simultaneously interpreted Among other possible themes, submissions are invited around two main axes: a) Teaching CSR : Specificities and Experiences - Educational content, curriculum examples, syllabi, readings, dialogue starters and workshops related to CSR teaching Description and comparison of methods for teaching CSR and sustainable development in various countries, case studies of CSR teaching Development of the teaching of ethics and its evolution towards CSR Pedagogical approaches utilized in CSR education Diplomas concerned, chairs, certification Differences in CSR teaching methods depending on course design Demonstrations and workshops on CSR teaching software and methods Accreditation criteria for courses on ethics b) Research on CSR : Approaches to its Implementation - Description of CSR approaches and their underlying theoretical frameworks Measurement of CSR Efficiency of codes of conduct Analysis of CSR convergences and specificities in different countries and cultural traditions Integration of CSR norms in business practices, in coherence with the other norms to which the enterprise is subjected Research on the conditions of compatibility between the exigencies of CSR and the sustainable economic performance of enterprises (quality, security, environment, occupational health, financial norms, rules of international competition) Cultural embeddedness of CSR Social construction of CSR Semiology and semiotics of CSR, rhetoric of CSR Institutionalization of CSR Representation of CSR – learning/apprenticeship CSR as an ideology Submission Formats and Deadlines: -
