Cancer Survivorship E-Learning Series for Primary Care Providers CancerSurvivorshipCenterEducation.org Launched in April 2013, The National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center’s E-Learning Series is designed to heighten the awareness of the ongoing needs of cancer survivors and gives primary care providers free continuing education credits with first-hand patient experiences, presentations by national leaders on survivorship issues, and case studies The goals of the series are to: - To provide information on how to tailor care to cancer survivors; and - To teach primary care providers the skills they need to provide follow-up care for cancer survivors Over 6,400 individuals from 80 countries have accessed the E-Learning Series Module 1: Current Status of Survivorship Care and the Role of Primary Care Providers Module 2: Late Effects of Cancer and its Treatments: Managing Comorbidities and Coordinating with Specialty Providers Module 3: Late Effects of Cancer and its Treatments: Meeting the Psychosocial Health Care Needs of Survivors Just Added Module 4: The Importance of Prevention in Cancer Survivorship: Empowering Survivors to Live Well Module 5: A Team Approach: Survivorship Care Coordination Module 6: Cancer Recovery and Rehabilitation* Module 7: Spotlight on Prostate Cancer Survivorship: Clinical Follow-Up Care Guidelines for Primary Care Providers New modules will be added on breast and colorectal clinical follow-up guidelines For more information visit: www.cancersurvivorshipcentereducation.org CONTINUING EDUCATION The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences designate this enduring material activity for a maximum of 5.0 AMA Physician Recognition Award Category Credits™ Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation 5.0 contact hours have been awarded *This activity has been approved by the Oncology Nursing Society to award contact hours ONS is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s COA PROGRAM SUPPORT The Cancer Survivorship E-Learning Series for Primary Care Providers is supported by Cooperative Agreement #1U55DP003054 from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and not necessarily represent the official views of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
